Review: Ted Dekker has grown over the years and with BLACK he has come into his own. They don't get any better than this!
I could taste the fruit, I could feel the lake around me as I swam. I have not been pulled into a novel so deeply, in a very long time. This book was an adventure every step of the way and I was right there. Thankfully, I only have one more month before the next one comes out. I can hardly wait.

Review: I read a lot of fiction and this book had my mind grasping for sanity, my lungs heaving for air. I laughed, I cried, I could not put it down. Like suspense? You'll love this! Do you love stuff that will twist your brain in ways you didn't know it could be twisted? I dare you to read this.

Review: How great is it to be able to read two stories at one time? That is exactly what you get when you dive into the adventure that is BLACK.Imagine running from the mob who wants the money you owe them. You are exhausted from fear and adrenaline-pumping action when you are finally able to fall asleep. But sleep doesn't come, because the moment your mind drifts toward that heaven, you wake up in another world. A strange world of joyous perfection...but there is evil there, too...and once again, they are after you. Ted Dekker's book is non-stop imagination. The first book in a trilogy - all to be released in 2004 - BLACK is an excellent start to what I believe will be a life altering story. He weaves real life in and amongst an almost Garden-of-Eden-like world to create his view of heaven. His ability to subtly point out the world's flaws creates a story leaving you wishing it hand't ended yet...and it hasn't! The continuation - Book two - comes out in May! His writing is flawless and easy to follow. I read the book in almost one sitting! This book is for anyone who loves adventure. I recommend it to everyone. My copy will be read by many!

Review: I read Black expecting a good book seeing as I had read a few of Ted's books prior to this one and really liked them. After reading Black, I was in awe. It was an incredible book. I definitely recommend Black to anyone who is interested in a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat late into the night.

Review: This was one of the best fantasies I have read in a long time. What an imagination Ted Dekker has! The plot was unique, the characters outstanding, and the meaning a lot deeper than the surface story. You won't be sorry you read this book. I'm so glad we won't have to wait a year for each of the remaining books in the trilogy - they are both coming this year.

Review: Black is a book that contains mystery, drama, love/romance, suspense, and action. All of these things are tied together in a way that makes you want to keep reading to find out what will happen next. Not only that, but it is a trilogy! Ted Dekker's writing has made me enjoy reading for the first time in my life because of his ability to capture such a wide audience and his knack for storytelling.

Summary: Great begining for a Trilogy
Review: This latest tail of intrigue has plenty of supense. I was taken on a ride full of plot twists and turns. I was on the edge of of my seat right up to the last pages. This book was almost impossible to put down (I had to sleep sometime!) This is my third Dekker book. I am begining a collection of all his work. Mr Dekker is awesome!
