Rating: Summary: I loved this book!! Review: I wish I hadn't read this book, because then I could read it all over again for the first time. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The Hero and Heroine were an absolute delight, and their first meetings made me laugh out loud, not the best thing to do in a crowded canteen! The supporting characters were as likeable and entertaining, every girl should have friends like these. The suspense in the story kept me riveted to the page and I became totally caught up in the plot, each death in the story felt as if someone I personally knew was being stalked and killed! I grieved with the Heroine and if ever there was a wake I wished I could have attended it was the one found in the pages of this book. Others might have been able to spot the murderer but I didn't and the end was as exiting and satisfying as the rest of the book, I would give this book my whole hearted approval and its one I will read over and over.
Rating: Summary: Grab the bonbons and get ready for a one sit read! Review: Mr. Perfect was my first Linda Howard read. I believe it was the best (escape from reality) read that I have had in ages. I have lent out the book to three friends who have all read the book in a single sit and called me with rave reviews! I have since read several other older Linda Howard books and have yet to find any others that even come remotely close to the character likeability and plot development of Mr. Perfect. As I read other reviews on her latest book, Open Season and see that so many people hated her change in writing style that seems to have happened with Mr. Perfect, I can only say keep up the good work Linda!
Rating: Summary: Mr. Perfect is Terrific! Review: I loved this book! It is a great romantic suspense story. It starts out with a group of women sitting around thinking up a list of perfect attributes for a man. Unfortunately, this list becomes sensationalized and problems begin for all the women. I particularly liked the new neighbor who moves in next door and the funny beginning to their relationship. The characters were great!
Rating: Summary: Another hit for Mrs. Howard! Review: Jaine Bright is a very unlucky lady with love. With three broken engagements she has definitely given up men, except for her annoying neighbor, FBI Detective Sam Donovan, for whom she develops a very intense attraction. Jaine's problems begin when she and three other friends create a list about the perfect guy and the attributes he should have; by mistake the list ends in the media hands and spreads all over the country getting the attention of a very peculiar killer. I've read a lot of Mrs. Linda Howard books, and I must say that this one is pretty good, the plot is very intriguing and at first when you start reading you think you know all that's happening but at the end you just realize that you didn't have the slightest idea. I really liked the relationship between the main characters; at first all they wanted was sex, but then, they discover just how intense their feelings are. If you are a frequent reader of LH's books you'll love this one, and if you're not, you'll love it as well.
Rating: Summary: DON'T READ ROSA'S REVIEW! Review: Rosa, please don't give the plot away when reviewing the book. Now I am taking this book OUT of my shopping cart.
Rating: Summary: Funny, Sexy and Tense Review: I generally enjoy books by Linda Howard and so I admit that I picked up "Mr Perfect" expecting a good read. I got a great one. I laughed out loud, I smirked, I whipped through the pages and enjoyed every one. This is a book about real women in the 21st century and it succeeds.
Rating: Summary: Not one of her best Review: I was converted to Linda Howard with "All the Queen's Men" and "Son of the Morning". This is not nearly on the same caliber scale. The story line is fast paced, yes, but it's a little contrived. Also, the leaps and bounds that supercede logic are disappointing...definitely not one of her best.
Rating: Summary: Hurray for this one! Review: Linda Howard did an amazing job on this one. Not only was it a thriller but was funny and sexual too. I read it during the week of the N.Y. disaster and it took me out of the depression i was feeling and into a pleasent atmostphere. She is a whitty writer and i can't wait to read her next one. 2 thumbs up for Howard's Mr. Perfect!!
Rating: Summary: Not her best work, but tons of chemistry! Review: I am such a fan of Ms. Howard's works and have read almost all of her books (that I have been able to find locally!). She has a wonderful sensuality in her writing that urges me to pick up a book after sitting on my shelf for a few months and relive the moments all over again. There was a *lot* of chemistry with a nice dash of humor. I enjoyed the growing electricity between Jaine and Sam. The ending was a surprising twist too, which really caught me off-guard. (Despite the fact that I kept thinking this story was soooo predictable from page one...) "You think you know... but you have no idea." This book wasn't her best work, IMO, but it had its moments!
Rating: Summary: Mr. Perfect Review: This was the first Linda Howard book I read, and so far the best! You ccan't help but like Janie and learn to like Sam. This book made me laugh like crazy, cry, and feel their losses and triumphs. Luna, Marci, and T.J. also become close friends, and you want justice done to the killer. Strangely enough, you are sympathetic to the murderer. Her best book out of all I've read! This is a murder mystery that starts when T.J.,Marci, Luna, and Janie make up a list of requirements for Mr. Perfect. When they are being stalked and killed because of it, you want to see the murderer get caught. Well-written and very intriging. I strongly recommend!
