Rating: Summary: FUN, FUN, FUN Review: This is definitely a great read. I love funny mysteries and this is by far one of my favrorites. From the first to the last page you won't be disappointed. The characters are fun and plot is well written. Although I figured out the ending, it didn't take away from the fun I had reading this.

Rating: Summary: A Great Romance Suspense Review: I loved this book!! It kept me interested all the way until the end. There was suspense, action and romance all the way through and I couldn't put it down. Although I did figure out who the killer was before it was uncovered. If you are looking for a good romance suspense book to read this is a great one!
Rating: Summary: Linda Howard's Best Book Review: Out of all the Linda Howard books that I have read, this is by far the best one. This book was funny and romantic, and the suspense was a plus, but not the best part. The "list" as incredibly funny! I couldn't wait to tell my friend's about this book. If you read any of her books, which you should, read this one first because it's her best! I also recommend Nora Roberts and Elizabeth Lowell for romantic suspense.
Rating: Summary: Well, Mr Perfect is PERFECT!!! Review: Linda Howard scores a one, two knock out with this spicey thriller!! *****GOLDFour ladies work at a company dominated by men, and so every Friday night after work they meet for supper and girl-talk. This particular Friday, men - or rather the lack of Good Men - leads the four into creating a list of their idea man. Marcia is a forty-something with three failed marriages behind her. She loves men, their company and sex, so is currently living with an out of work Brick. TJ, thirty-something, is married to the childhood sweetheart who is likely having an affair. She wants a child, but he refuses. Beautiful Luna, twenty-something is head over heels in love with a heel, a NFL quarterback who likes parties and women too much. And razor-shape mind and tongued Jaine, thirty-something, and a veteran of three failed engagements. So over a few drinks, they come up with a list of all the qualities of the perfect man, like faithfulness, honesty and something that says size DOES matter!! Naturally, later a tipsy Marcie shows another woman at work The List, and suddenly it is on the bulletin board, going through emails, and then the news local and national are picking up it. And the men around these ladies are not happy campers. One man in particular is very upset. Janie is furious with Marcie, but has other things in her life to worry about. She just bought a new house, her mother and father are away on a vacation of a lifetime - her mother leaving precious BooBoo kitty and her father his precious Shelby (car for all you non babyboomers). BooBoo kitty is shreading the couch cushions, her sister Shelly is mad because Mum left Jaine the cat, and her brother David is mad at her because Dad left the Ford Cobra with little sister!! To top matters off, she think the next door neighbor is a drunk or a drug dealer, for he drive a POS pontiac with a busted muffler, comes in at all hours and looks dangerous - and he walks around nude in the kitchen drinking juice !! Worse, she just backed over his trashcans!! Jaine learns Sam is not a drug dealer, but a cop and she has to admit, it did not take her a long time to get the phone number from the neighbor so she could call him to tell him to lower his window shade.... As The List brings them national attention, and a possible book deal, TJ's marriage falls apart, Brick, surprisingly hurt since he does not measure up, leaves Marcie and Luna tells her football hero to take his job and shove it. Only Jaine seems to be having the bright side of romance. But there is someone who takes The List as a personal insult and intends to see the four pay. Macie realises this too late, when she opened her front door.... WISE Writers and Readers Book of the Month for September 2000
Rating: Summary: First but definitely not last Review: This was my very first Linda Howard novel. I finished this book in one sitting and went out the next day to check out all her other books. The book had me laughing out loud, and yet was still able to keep me on the edge of my seat. Jaine and Sam are fantastic characters and make a dynamic pair. They were both charming and funny. I loved their dialogues and how they interact with each other. Just writing about it makes me want to read it all over again!!
Rating: Summary: Great mix of thrills and romance Review: Mr. Perfect is about a thirty-year-old woman named Jaine who writes a list of things the perfect man would have. She, and the three friends who wrote it with her, are dismayed at all the publicity the List is getting. Jaine becomes fed up with all the reporters, the prank phone-caller, her mother's cat BooBoo who destroys her couch, and her annoyingly sexy cop neighbor Sam who has a tendency to sneak up on her and scare her out of her wits. Then, when the four friends decide to have some fun with the publicity they have been getting, one of them is murdered in her apartment. Jaine and Sam have to race against time to find the psycho who is stalking the girls with the intent to kill, before he ultimately succeeds in murdering all of them. Linda Howard manages to mix just the right ingredients of suspense, humor, and romance for this book to be a winner. The romance has just asmuch importance to the plot as the suspense, but the reader never loses sight of the mystery element. The characters are wonderfully three-dimensional, and the thoughts of all of them are relatively realistically portreyed. This book MUST be read in one sitting. The psychological element of the mystery keeps the reader guessing until the last pages. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good mystery.
Rating: Summary: I just loved this book Review: When the book ended I wanted to know where the sequel was! I really loved the characters of Jaine and Sam and the verbal bantering between them (as well as the more steamy encounters!) I was not really surprised by the who dunnit but there was a twist that did come as a surprise. While I might have liked a bit more insight into the villain, it was really Sam and Jaine I wanted more of, so the day after I finished the book I read it over again, and that is something I have NEVER done before! I am now on my 3rd reading of the Sam and Jaine parts of the book. I also enjoyed the closeness of the friendship between the four women, and that Jaine was no helpless victim, she was a strong yet flawed woman, very real to me. This was my first Linda Howard book but it won't be my last.
Rating: Summary: Good book, not a great romance Review: This is my first Linda Howard, and I have to say, I am disappointed. I freely admit this is my own fault, my expectations were way off. I read all of the reviews, and was expecting a romance novel. When I read romance, I look for a fantasy. I want dialog between the hero & heroine that is inspiring and makes me want to fall in love too. I want to know about the 2 main character's past and what draws them together and more than anything else; I want a reason to BELIEVE that these 2 people will have a happily ever-after ending. What I got was a mystery novel. Granted this mystery has some hot sex and interesting characters, with funny dialogue, but it is still a mystery. Janie has a group of friends who while enjoying drinks with the girls, stir the interest of a killer. When things start to get dangerous, Jannie seeks the help of her next door neighbor, Sam the cop. The story is captivating and held my interest. Overall the book is a very good read; it just was not the romantic novel that I was expecting.
