Rating: Summary: My first Linda Howard novel. Review: I really enjoyed this book, it had every emotion in it that to me requires a good thriller. Suspense, surprise, sassiness and knock out surprise killer that thru me for a loop. Jaine and Sam were fantastic together and the secondary characters were also fantastic, I enjoyed all of the people in this book. I am so glad that Jaine and Sam were going to be together and also I's so pleased that Linda let us know why the killer became the they, and in a way understand why they were forced to do what they did. If you are looking for a real thriller read this book. This will not be my last Linda Howard novel I will be reading others by her.
Rating: Summary: "Perfect" Howard Review: This was my first Linda Howard experience ... as I can see from other fans, I am not alone in that it was definitely not my last. I thought it was everything a romantic mystery should be. Funny, entertaining, sexy ... She's a writer without pretention and snobbery. I have since bought and read almost every LH book I can get my hands on - this is one is still my favorite, if I had to choose one! I've caught myself recommending it to complete strangers while browing in a book store!
Rating: Summary: Love the humor Review: I loved this book more for the banter between Jaine and Sam than the actual suspense. In too many books the female gets scared and tongue-tied when first meeting the male, but Jaine provides the exact opposite reaction. The only thing that bothers me about Mr. Perfect is that I really can't believe that some list, though funny AND true, would get national media attention. But, hey, this is fiction and I can look past that in order to really enjoy a great story!
Rating: Summary: It's her best work yet! Review: It's the first Linda Howard I've read, and I'm hooked. I got so caught up in Jaine and Sam's story that I had it finished in a couple of days (then was sorry it was over). From the start, you're caught up in all characters, from the killer, to the friends, to Jaine and Sam. Since reading Mr. Perfect, I've grabbed up every Linda Howard I can find.
Rating: Summary: Mystery, romance and thrills all tied in this story Review: I absolutely loved this story on Jaine Bright and Sam Donovan! First off all, it was hilarious when she assumed her next door neighobr, Sam was a drunk instead of a cop. I have to say, Linda Howard is the best author in the world and this is my absolute favorite book. I can't wait for the new releases to come out! I can't tell you how many times I actually read this book-maybe seven. In my 14 years of life, I decided that romance is the best kind of novels and boring lawyers stories are the worst kind. I have to say that I read maybe 20 novels a week if I have no school and her romantic suspense novels keep you guessing till the end of the book. The killer is obviously someone who is angered by the list for the "perfect man" that Janie created with her friends. The passion between Jaine and Sam was a bit strange but as long as they had a future together I don't see why anyone can't just love this book. The only author who can come close to her is Kay Hooper! The killer will surprise you when you find out whom it is.
Rating: Summary: Linda Howard is Ms. Perfect! Review: This book is really great. Presently, I'm re-reading it (my 3rd time) while looking for another Linda Howard book. Jaine & Sam are so witty, funny & lovable. I enjoyed their exhange of repartee. As the story unfolds, I was kept on the edge wondering who the killer is & who among the other girls will be the next, while awaiting for a moment when Jaine & Sam reveal their feelings for each other. Only Linda can create that kind of mixture of humour, suspense, romance & excitement. You'll never go wrong when you choose a Linda Howard book. I'm looking forward to reading another one.
Rating: Summary: Just so-so Review: I didn't even finish reading this novel. The plot was derivative (the villain was just a little too like the Psycho character Norman Bates). Also, I just couldn't see why the hero would fall immediately head-over-heels in love with the heroine. What was so special about her? She seemed like the average "Jane" (in this case, "Jaine") --excuse the pun. Yet, despite her overwhelming mediocrity, the hero wants to marry her after having sex with her one time. Unrealistic, to say the least. Usually, there's a little something special (in looks and character) about a romance novel hero & heroine that helps readers understand why both are irresitible. This novel was lacking that.
Rating: Summary: Sam is just too perfect!! Review: Oh my God, is Sam Mr Perfect or what! Read this book just to indulge in him, he is a fantastic character. Lucky old Jaine. The scenes in the book between the two of them are so good, you find yourself skim reading the mystery just to get back to them. The murder mystery was less engaging although I did not spot the ending. This book gets 5 stars purely for the Jaine/Sam love/hate/lust storyline - an enjoyable Sunday afternoon read.
Rating: Summary: An Awesome Read!!! Review: This book was really great! I recently became a Linda Howard fan after reading Open Season (which I also highly recommend) and after reading this book I know I am hooked. Mr. Perfect is very sensual, and very sexy, yet for those out there like me who enjoy a good mystery this book definitely has this. I couldn't put it down it was so exciting! Mr. Perfect will keep you guessing until the very end and it will leave you wanting to read more of Linda Howard's books!!
Rating: Summary: A Fast-paced, perfect read. Review: I stumbled onto Linda Howard after finishing ALL of Karen Robards' books. "Mr. Perfect" is HILAROUS, SEXY and downright ENVIABLE. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of suspensful romance...Jaine is every woman's hero, while Sam is every woman's hero as well. The sex is hot, the mystery...wel, mysterious, and for that we should thank her for an easy combination. Bought the book as gifts for two friends. Ms. Howard, you have a new fan!
