Rating: Summary: Mr. Perfect Review: If there was a way to go over the 5 stars I'd definately do it! Linda Howard has a way with a scene weither it be murder and mayhem or pure unadulterated sex! And she makes you ejoy them both! I recommend all her books. This is one of the ones I read over and over again, and even though I know what's going to happen I'm at the edge of my seat. I'm happy to say I've turned a few of my friends on to her books and they are truly happy I've done so!
Rating: Summary: One of the BEST romances out there Review: This was honestly one of the funniest, sexiest, most-fun-to-read books that I've read in years. Sam is so hot, and Janie is funny, smart, attractive, and cool. They have some really amazing sex (to be expected of Howard), but what's cool about them is that they seemed so much like real people as opposed to typical romance-genre heros/heroines. The chemistry was just right--amazing and hard to put down. I've read it probably 12 times, and it's suspenseful, fun, and hot each time. only thing is that it's slightly unrealistic (deranged serial killer knocks off 2 and a half out of 4 of the main characters) but still, a classic.
Rating: Summary: Funny, Sassy, Sexy & Mysterious Review: This book was GREAT! No other words can describe it. Once I started I could not put it down. I made a friend read it (doesn't read often) and she fell in love with it. She now owns a copy of it as well. Not only will you fall in love with the characters, you will cry with them too. This book will keep you going until the bitter end!!! I recommend this book to everyone! It was just that good!!! Have fun reading.
Rating: Summary: Good writing Review: This is a good story and of course as I've come to expect of Linda Howard, very well written. The pace starts off slow with "the list" and the media attention it garners but then really picks up when the list authors start getting murdered. This is a great story if you can ignore the fact that a list like this would hardly raise an eyebrow let alone get nationwide media attention.
Rating: Summary: Great chemistry, plot a bit weak though Review: I always enjoy LH's books but I find the plot of this is a little weak. The way the list captured the attention of the media was too far-fetched, as if there was really nothing spicy enough for the media to go crazy at all. The chemistry between Jaine and Sam was great though, always fiery and surprising. I wish there were more pages allocatd to them, they only sort of got to know each other towards the middle of the book. After building up such an intense chemistry between them, the sex scenes were a bit disappointing. Sam appeared to be turned on by the spirit of Jaine but Jaine appeared to be more fascinated with the physical beauty of Sam's body. So the romance was a little superficial to my liking.
Rating: Summary: Bravo!!! Review: Wow! What a fabulous read! This book was full of passion and suspence and I loved the chemistry between Jaine and Sam. Here's a book you'd definetly want to pass around to your friends. This is my 11th Linda Howard and I like each one better than the last. Can't wait to read the rest of Linda's books.
Rating: Summary: Captivating Review: Not change-the-world writing, but definitely writing that fully commanded my attention until I knew I had to read it in one sitting. It's impossible not to adore Jaine Bright, the plucky heroine of this novel. She's foul-mouthed, hot-tempered, and perpetually in heat. But she's funny, caustic, wry, and intelligent. It's so refreshing to read about a woman who isn't terrified or can't take care of herself. Further, Jaine is smart enough to know when she needs real help. The basic story is that Jaine and three of her fellow colleagues are out for a drink after work one night, and come up with a list of attributes for their Mr. Perfect. One of the four's loose lips separate and tell another coworker, who in turn spreads it all over the office. Soon, it's posted on the internet and a media frenzy ensues. It's really funny, until the group of four becomes three when a psycho concludes that the list was specifically targeting him and his shortcomings. Good dialogue and a fast read. Marriages fall apart and come together; estranged families learn what counts. A good surprise ending concludes the tale. Very satisfying.
Rating: Summary: My all time favourite Howard Review: A super great read I have read this book 4 times.. and enjoy it more everytime....
Rating: Summary: A very good book Review: First of all, this book is very easy to read, that gives it a star, the point number two is that you will laugh a lot while you read, that is another star, it has a very nice love story (exactly two love stories but the one that counts is jaine's) that is the star number three, it is a real thriller, a police book, a book that show you what is the meaning of friendship, that is the star number four, and the last star is for the finish of the book, you will never think of that finish until you read the last chapter.
Rating: Summary: Caution: May cause uninhibited laughter and sighing. Review: Okay, just so you 'get' my title, the first time I read this book, I was laughing and sighing so much, I didn't pay attention and fell and broke my foot. The moral: Linda Howard books are best read on the couch with a cup of tea or cocoa. Since I had plenty of time to do that with my foot in a cast, I read this book from cover to cover three times. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Jaine and her friends. It was really nice that they were not all twenty-something white women in happy marriages that were trying to help the only unmarried girl in the group. Instead, they are a facinating blend of ages, marital statuses (sp?), and they even had different racial backgrounds. The chemistry between Jaine and Sam was electric to me. Just the way they worked up to their first time together waas enough to turn my cheeks red, and set my heart a-pounding. So, remember, stay on the couch, enjoy the book, and no-one gets hurt!
