Summary: Mr. Perfect Stinks
Review: I was extremely disappointed with this book. I recently read "Cry No More" by Linda Howard and loved it. So when this book was highly recommended by friends and your reviews - I thought it would be great. It is completely unrealistic, unbelievable, boring and I had a hard time getting through it. The mystery was horrible and the dialogue awful. I will however try another Linda Howard - hopefully one with more substance.

Summary: The whole enchilada
Review: Linda Howard has quickly become one of my favorite romance authors, though for a long time I was reluctant to read this particular book of hers. Now that I have read it I could kick myself for wasting time. Read this book now! It is funny, serious, sexual and I love Janie as the lead. She is smart, sassy and doesn't fade into the long list of romance novel women. She is an individual with more to talk about than what she wants in a guy. . . which brings us to the plot.
Four friends make up a list of a Mr. Perfect, the list gets out and people start dying. . . Creepy, especially with the beginning prologue. But that is not the whole of the story, there are four friends, all different but fun, there's an annoying neighbor, A ford Shelby mustang, lots of humor and . . . the hero is great. He is not intimidated by this list of what a perfect man should be. That in itself is sexy, not to mention he has a really great. . . shoe size. All in all, this is a great read at any time. Perhaps not in public though unless you want to embarrass yourself by bursting out in laughter.

Summary: Absolutely Hilarious
Review: If you're looking for a laugh-out-loud romance packed with sex appeal and suspense then this is for you. OK, so the plot is slightly unbelievable (particularly if you read a lot of crime books) and the villain may as well carry a signpost around their neck with the words `QUIET PLEASE - SERIAL KILLER AT WORK', but cracking dialogue and fantastic characters more than make up for these problems.

Jaine Bright is just about the only heroine I've ever read who manages to come across as zany and spontaneous without also being wimpy and irritating. Jaine holds down a good job, has a great car and house, and is an independent woman happy with her life. Cue Sam Donovan, a sexy, muscular cop who happens to be her next-door neighbour and you know that you're reading Linda Howard at her best. When a killer targets Jaine and her friends it is up to Sam to protect them and track down the villain.

The chemistry between Jaine and Sam is great and the use of humour is so funny in places that you can't help but burst out laughing. There are some incredibly risqué innuendos which are just fantastic, my favourite was when Sam walks into the kitchen when Jaine and her sister Shelley are preparing a cucumber to use on Jaine's eyes. The plot bounces along at a fairly fast rate but I felt the crimes really acted as a backdrop for the romance, as Jaine and Sam find various excuses for getting `to know each other better'.

Overall Mr Perfect is a funny and romantic novel with a great ending and likeable characters. You can't really take it seriously as a crime novel, but who cares when the book is such a perfect blend of suspense and romance?
