Summary: Awesome 1st Half!
Review: I loved Mr. Perfect until the first murder. It went downhill from there. Sam and Jaine were funny and sexy. Jaine was very realistic with her attempts to stop cursing. The list, however, would not in real life generate such buzz. I found that part very unrealistic. I would've preferred more jaine and sam sparring. They got together way too fast. I reccommend the first half only. Then put it down.

Summary: Another Sleepless Night!
Review: Someone really needs to talk to Linda Howard about keeping her readers up all night! Mr. Perfect did it to me again--I could not put it down! Ms. Howard had me hooked into the story in the first few pages. Her writing has always been a good read, but this book is a heart-stopper for anyone who has ever compiled a list about the perfect mate. Jaine Bright is another memorable Howard heroine--gutsy, brainy, and a little quirky. Sam Donovan is wonderful, even if he does wake up his neighbors at 3:00 in the morning! As for Corin---he is someone I don't want to meet any time soon! Thanks, Ms. Howard, for another great night, even if I didn't get any sleep!

Summary: HOT! HOT! HOT!
Review: Aye Carumba! She has done it again! Mr Perfect is vintage Linda Howard! I am not gonna give a run down on the book cos I'd suggest you like BUY it! READ it! again and again and again. It's a keeper this one. Yup! Ms Howard's books of late have been less than....well...up to par...for a lack of a better word, but she redeems herself with Mr Perfect. My only wish was the book could've been longer...with the characters fleshed out more...specially Sam! So what are ya waiting for? Witty dialogue (though some might take offense...like as if we don't hear it in everyday conversations!) great storyline, engaging protagonists and Linda Howard. Don't hafta say more.

Summary: Not exactly perfect
Review: I've read everything Linda Howard has written (I think) and was anxiously awaiting her next hardback installment. This was standard Howard fiction, but somehow it just wasn't as good as I expected, given her past work.

The dialogue between the main characters was snappy, and the general plot was good, with a twist at the end. My dissatisfaction stems from the lack of character development and relationship development between hero and heroine. Jaine goes from hating her neighbor to sleeping with him in the span of about 100 pages, with little contact, conversation or interaction between the two of them. And you get the feeling that you don't ever really know what the neighbor, Sam, thinks or feels.

Not a bad book, but one that I'd wait for in paperback before buying.

Summary: Sam and Jaine a HOT new couple from L.Howard
Review: While every woman knows there is no such animal as "Mr.Perfect," Jaine and her friends one Friday night make up a list of qulalities just in case. What starts out as fun, turns into murder, as some one is taking exception to the Ladies of the List. Fast pace with great characters, Linda Howard has penned another great summe read. Where last years "All the Queen's Men" provoked controversy, this new selection with promote envy over Sam. Everyone should have such a next door neighbor. He and Jaine bring neighborhood relationships to new and sexy heights. This is a wonderful way to end a very lack luster summer reading time. Lucky for us, the best was saved for last....a MUST read.

Summary: A great read
Review: This book was definitely worth waiting (and shelling out hardcover bucks) for. Jaine and Sam are smart, strongwilled and sassy. The interchanges between them are hilarious and hot, but not long enough. Their characters were not as completely developed as I might have liked, likewise their relationship. Perhaps it is because I liked these characters so much, I just really wanted to see more interaction between them. I don't now if the story just happened to turn out that way, or if Linda Howard is starting to take the trend that some of the other Romance novelists have taken-less relationship and sex, more adventure and danger. I hope not, because we all know that when we settle down with an LH novel, we are in for a steamy read. That is why I give 4 stars and not 5.

This was still one of Howards' best. While the romance between the characters is a bit of a whirlwind (commonly found in Howards' work), there are no sappy, stereotypical, aged moments.

The interactions between the group of friends and even family members were great also. Very humorous and also realistic.

This is and at the same time is not a typical Linda Howard book. Nonetheless, it is wonderful.

Summary: She's back
Review: I have read all of Linda Howard's books and this one is the best one yet and well worth paying hard cover price. She started the book with a laugh and the relationship between hero and heroine kept me laughing all through the book. The suspense had me guessing who was next and who was it. She had her "trademark" cop hero but who cares-the book delivered. I definitely recommend this book as a read even if you were disappointed with her last one. Especially if you were disappointed w/her last one.

Summary: Comedy, Romance.... Murder
Review: Mr. Perfect was a great book for me--for about a third of the way through.

I've never read a book of Ms. Howard's, with so much humor. And I enjoyed the byplay between characters, especially Jaine and Sam. How Jaine and Sam meet, is for me, the most enjoyable part of the book. But, romance occurs swiftly (there's no romantic conflict) and the murder/mystery occurs. It's at that point in the book, where it falters, for me.

If you find one of your best friend's been murdered--do you feel like making love...as fear and possibly murder, surround you. The sex scenes are sexy, and well done. But they occur too soon, too frequently, given the circumstances.

Sam's a typical Linda Howard hero...BIG, handsome, alpha and sex-driven. Jaine's gifted with a smart mouth, brains, beauty...And, I did enjoy them as a couple. The secondary characters are interesting; (including the murderer) but there may have been too many of them to give any individual attention.

The mystery will be a surprise...and there is a feeling of doom (when the comedy or sex isn't going on). I guess, this is a very mixed review....

Summary: Linda Howard finds Mr. Perfect
Review: I am one of those die hard Linda Howard fans who owns and rereads all her books and waits impatiently for the next one to roll off the presses. I cannot explain my delight at finally getting my hands on "Mr. Perfect". From the opening chapter, right down to the last word, I LOVED this book. A great fast read. Jaine (and yes that is how she spells her name) and Sam are a strong couple. Witty, sexy and impossible to forget, I reread the book within two days. The diologue between these two will crack you up. The murder mystery element of the book was well developed and not too obvious with a nice twist at the end. If you have read and liked "Kill and Tell", "Dream Man" or "All the Queen's Men" you will like this one as well. My only complaint would be that I wanted to know more about Sam's background!

Summary: loved this book
Review: I loved this book. Even though the culprit was easy to figure out, it was still an enjoyable read. I had been a little disapointed in her last efforts (hardback) but this totally restores Linda Howard as one of my favorite authors.
