Summary: You Will Want to Own This One
Review: This book is unlike any other book penned by Linda Howard. It is funny and witty, and it will keep you hollering with laughter.
Jane, our heroine, is feisty and clever, and not shy to express her feelings, even though she is honestly trying to quit cussing (without much luck, I must say).

The chemistry between Jane and her "rotten neigbor" is sizzling hot. The psycho killer that's on the lose will keep you guessing to the last page. An even though you might have some suspicions, you'll never guess how twisted the story really is.

This book is such a good read that I reach for it whenever my mood is down. Its light humor can lift anyone's spirit and knowing "who dunnit" does not detract from its appeal. BUY IT; it's well worth the expense.

Summary: great book
Review: What a great book! It's a perfect escape read. I finished it in one sitting! It's hard to put down. Jaine Bright is a wonderful main character. She's not one of those annoying, helpless, whining types you see so often in books nowadays. Highly recommended.

Summary: 4.5 Stars Gets A Nudge To 5
Review: After reading 'Kill and Tell' and feeling a little disappointed, I was just a bit hesitant to read 'Mr. Perfect'. But I gave it a chance because of all the raving reviews from readers I had heard. Well, needless to say, 'Mr. Perfect' captivated me from the first chapter. Throughout the whole novel, Linda Howard delivers humor through the conversations Jaine and Sam share. I couldn't go five minutes without bursting out laughing at a smart-mouthed comment made by either Sam or Jaine. It's a pretty fast-paced novel, and it has a mixed plot consisting of suspense, humor, and passion.
What I found a little unrealistic, however, was the way 'The List' spread. The List wasn't all that special; I couldn't see how it became so popular.
But with that put aside, the 4.5 stars I originally gave the novel bumped up a notch to 5 stars because it really kept me reading. Overall, 'Mr. Perfect' was an extremely fun read and I'll definitely be reading more of Linda Howard's works.

Summary: Really good, although the premise needs work
Review: I hadn't ever read a Linda Howard book before this ... but I'm glad I did, as I hadn't had the time or motivation to read any of her books before. I really enjoyed all her characters and I liked her use of language and imagery. It kept me turning pages, which is good enough for me.

My only gripe is with the plot, which is my reason for detracting a star. I had a hard time believing that "the List" became as popular as it did, because, frankly, I didn't see it as being all that funny or witty. Had Ms. Howard improved upon the List a LOT more, then I could see it becoming the sensation that it did, but otherwise, I was kind of in the dark about what the entire nation of America thought was so funny about it. It was pretty lame -- just stuff I chat about with my friends all the time and common knowledge. Did everyone else in this book live under a rock?

Otherwise, it's an interesting read. The twist at the end with the villian's identity was clever and something I didn't see coming until right before it was revealed. Her friends were good solid characters too, and they acted as suitable foils until they were offed. I really enjoyed Sam and his chemistry with Jaine.

I'll definitely watch out for more of Ms. Howard's books. Although, hopefully, she'll give up on making more lists.

Summary: Absolutely Perfect
Review: I've only been reading Linda Howard's books for a couple of years now, and this is definitely my all-time favourite. Ms Howard has combined comedy, romance and suspense into one thrilling read. Sam Donovan is intensely male, Jaine Bright perfect foil for his essence. I fell in love with Sam, as I do with most of Linda Howard's male characters. This one is a 'must read' for anyone, even new Linda Howard fans.

Summary: Cute book!
Review: Charming and fun to read, with lots of suspense! The good-guy characters are likeable and the sex is pretty good. A quick read, easy to get through, and keeps you interested. I'll be reading more of hers.

Summary: Almost perfect romance/mystery
Review: Ohmy[...] This is the first time in a long while that a book has captivated me like this & the first time in a while that I have laughed this much. Also, there was definitely no skimming paragraphs in this one. However, halfway through, it got serious.... really serious.... psycho-killer type serious.... main characters dying type serious. I can't say that it was a great mystery because the psycho was somewhat obvious to me about 3/4's of the way through the book, but it did have a weird twist at the end that had kept me guessing. The romance was also great [...]. Sam & Jaine's dialogue was lol funny. I loved the fact that they didn't hate each other til the end of the book & then decided they loved each other... those type stories always irritate me. It also had a couple of side stories of couples & their relationships - those weren't too evolved, but did add to the story. I guess it would have been just too long & drawn out if LH had added too much more to their stories. All in all, this is a must read for those who can stand a little murder & love fun romances. It's not often that an author can wrap up this much fun with such a serious plot & make me like it. LH has definitely done that. I'm definitely going to pick up another Linda Howard book & I hope I've now found a new favorite author to read.

Summary: pretty good
Review: This is the story of Janie, an independant woman who gets together with some friends whom all work at the same company and they make up a list of what they think is the "perfect man". Somehow the lists becomes public and some weirdo takes it too personally and starts killing all the women who made the list.

Meanwhile, Janie and the next door neighbor Sam, a hunky hot cop turn up the heat. He will help protect her and her loved ones and find love within each other.

I really love Janie and could picture her so clearly in my mind. She was very sassy! I give 10 stars just to the dialogue alone!! Janie and Sam were hot and the sex scenes really sizzled!!

This was my first Linda Howard book and by no means will this be the last. Overall the story was a little far fetched, especially the end, but a suspenseful fun to read. It was a fast read and I look forward to picking up another Howard book soon!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Unrealistic...Typical Linda Howard
Review: I must say this book is not what other reviewers made it out to be. I cannot believe that a list would become a nationwide sensation. Add to that Jaine's juvenile ways('sticky out parts'? Please), and you have an unrealistic, juvenile read.
