Rating: Summary: Perfect Book Review: I read the entire thing in one go. I just couldn't put it down. There's no mystery as to who's doing what, but plenty of humor and enough suspense to fully entertain. I didn't want the story end, and I hope I get to see more of Jaine and Donovan in future books.
Rating: Summary: Very good, but not her one of Linda Howard's best Review: If you are a Linda Howard fan, buy this book. It's a good book, just not one of her best.
Rating: Summary: Pssst! Review: I'll let you in on a little secret in case you're new to this author. No one doses it better than Linda Howard. Like Alice in the looking glass, you will fall in to the pages of this book and you will have to remind your self to come up for air. As always the sex sizzles, the caracters are real and multi dimensional, the story is riveting. WARNING! After you read this one, you will find yourself in a mad scramble to locate all her other books. Good luck.
Rating: Summary: Best Yet! Review: I absolutely loved this book. I'm used to more intense books from Linda Howard, but humorous books have always been my favorite. She sure did come through on this one. At times I was laughing so hard, I'm sure people thought I had something wrong with me. As far I'm concerned, Sam Donavon is Mr. Perfect! The character of Jaine was fantastic as well. I'd love to see another book starring this outrageous couple.
Rating: Summary: VINTAGE LINDA HOWARD Review: Great quick read... I've read every Howard book out there and was very pleased to see her go back to her original writing style. Interaction between her main characters has always been the important ingredient in her early books and she doesn't dissapoint here. Let's see more like this in the future.
Rating: Summary: Mr. Perfect Review: Excellant, kept me laughing. The heroine was delightful and real. The hero was believeable and charming. Enjoyable read.
Rating: Summary: Mr. Prefect Review: Well done Linda Howard! I hesitated purchasing this story in expensive hardcover because Ms. Howards last novel, "All the Queen's Mens," was such a disappointment. But my ultimate faith in her talent paid off. This book was heaven. The characters were funny and irreverent. The story was interesting and caught me up in the "who" in "who done it." The only problem with this novel..... it came to an end too darn fast.
Rating: Summary: Nine Chapters did it for me Review: By the time I'd finished the first nine chapters, I had it with the crude characters. Perhaps some will find the humor laugh-out-loud funny, but I prefer humor that is more intellectually appealing and I want characters worthy of my sympathy. Unfortunately, this book provided neither. What it did provide was the premise that "crude is cute." This was the first book I'd tried by Linda Howard. Most likely, it will be the last.
Rating: Summary: loved it! Review: I almost didn't buy this book because I was so disappointed in Ms. Howards last book, All The Queen's Men, but I am very glad I did! The romantic and sexual tension is back in Mr. Perfect and the interactions between the hero and heroine are great. I kept reading much later than I should of just because I wanted to see what would happen between the two of then next. I finished the book in one sitting, which is something I haven't done in a very long time. Jaine is probably the best heroine of all of Ms. Howard's books so far, and I loved all of the secondary characters as well. Both Jaine and Sam, the hero and heroine, have their flaws, but that is what made me like them so much. The mystery was way too easy to solve, but for me that's not really the point of reading the book anyway, but rather to see the relationship develop between the hero and heroine. It did not disappoint! My one real problem with the book is picky and has nothing to do with plot or characters, etc. But in the discussion about birth control in the book, it was never mentioned that you should wait until you have been on the pill for a month for it to be effective as birth control. Sam and Jaine made a big oops with that one. Like I said picky. But I would hate for someone who doesn't know this to read it and think it would be o.k. to be intimate with someone that soon after going on the pill and being "safe."
Rating: Summary: Best one yet! Review: This book was well worth the hard cover price. Once I picked it up I could not put it down. The dialouge was so witty I was laughing out loud. I even read some of the better conversations Jaine and Sam had to my husband and had him laughing. I love the fact that Linda Howards characters are hot! I get tired of the tepid love scenes in other novels. I agree with one reviewer that the murderer was a bit easy to figure out but other than that I have to say that Mr. Perfect was just about PERFECT!
