Summary: An excellent read, I highly recommend it.
Review: I thought this book was very interesting and I really enjoyed learning a little of the behind the scenes details of the nuclear industry, Hitler, and skiing. I thought this book was very readable and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to read. This book made me think and I like that about a book. Please, read it.

Summary: I hope she writes more and more!
Review: Catherine Neville's books are the absolute GREATEST. I just love them and can not get anything done when I have started one. They just completely engage me and I never read fiction. I hope she keeps them coming and I will adjust my schedule around them.

Summary: I felt ripped off!
Review: I usually like books that force me to keep track of lots of characters, ideas, etc. -- I like the challenge of staying on top of it all. But this got to a point where, towards the end, when she would go off on some historical tangent, I would just skim it because I was losing hope that it was really going anywhere. I finished it only because I thought there was going to be some revealation at the end that would make it all worth it. I was so disappointed! I think she just crammed the book full of every historical fact, myth and legend she'd ever heard of.

Summary: Questionalble history, Mysticism, and Incest
Review: If you like questionable historical fiction barely based in reality, incest, and mysticism all wrapped together in a long tedious narrative ending with a cliche then this is the book for you.

Summary: Not for the easily entertained
Review: I read 'The Magic Circle' eagerly after I had devoured 'The Eight' and although it didn't come up to the incredibly high standard of the first was still a wonderful read. To all those who complain about the intricate plot, go and read a fairy tale. This novel requires a minimum of intelligence and dedication and any novel which does not is not worth reading. This is a greatly rewarding read but you have to stick to it. Also, it's interesting to try and draw a family tree when you've finished!

Summary: Entertaining, intriguing, lengthy
Review: I enjoyed this book. Yes, it's long, confusing, and full of intricate historical detail. It's also fascinating if you give it half a chance. I think it could use a series of family trees to clarify all the relationships. It's fun reading though. It contains a lot of things to ponder and mull over. Definately appealed to my intellectual side.

Summary: What a surprise!
Review: Yes, there really is a Troy Idaho! And I couldn't believe it that The Magic Circle winds up here. I loved all the connections between the Trojan War and medieval history and current events in this book. A wonderful, delightful story.

Summary: One of my favorites
Review: Katherine Neville was here on her book tour last year. I am of partly Basque heritage and I was pleased to learn that she's doing research on the Basques in America. She's spent a lot of time in the Basque regions of Spain, too. I'm astounded by how much research she does, so it didn't surprise me that Magic Circle is now one of my favorite books. I'll have to read her others while I'm waiting for the next one to come out.

Summary: What Goes Around Comes Around
Review: I am a father of two, a biker, and a part-time historian of famous biking groups including the Hells Angels. I was impressed that Neville starts her book off with the Angels motto, What Goes Around Comes Around. I was even more impressed by the rest of the book.

Summary: Try it. You'll like it
Review: East is east and west is west But Magic Circle is the best! Try it. You'll like it.
