Summary: Ms Neville must have lived great past lives!
Review: Neville's first book, The Eight, mesmerized me and rarely do I read books over and over again. I just picked up The Magic Circle and already love it. I have added her to my collections of Jack Vance and Roger Zelazny - people who utilize superlative prose and delve into a bit of fantasy. Yum, I do so love TGR (thumping good reads). I envy her talent - she seems to have it all in this life time - must have lived great past lives. I remain one of her many fans.

Summary: Very French!
Review: I have read all of Katherine Neville's books, but I have been unable to find them translated in French which seems to be the one country where they are not yet available. This is very sad because they are typically French in the flavour of her language and in her ideas. In the Magic Circle I especially enjoyed the heroine's grandmother who once danced nude at the Folies Bergere. And The Eight is of course the most beautiful saga of the Napoleonic era. One can but hope for these delicious books to be translated one day soon.

Summary: Magic way with words
Review: I loved all of Katherine Neville's books. While my favorite was The Eight, I thoroughly enjoyed her latest, The Magic Circle. Magical Realism is of particular interest. She has a "magic" way with words and I look forward to reading her next book.

Review: Am hooked on The Magic Circle....it is definitely keeping my interest. I read two books a week, have for years. It's wonderful to find a book that has substance, depth, and intrigues me.

Summary: Constant source if inspiration
Review: I am a great fan, and Katherine Neville's work is a constant source of inspiration. I am just loving all of the tidbits of history that she has interwoven into the story. I was introduced to her work by a friend, and she couldn't have recommended a better author.

Summary: Love her books!
Review: The first book I read, written by Katherine Neville, was The Eight. It was so fascinating and enjoyable that I'm now reading The Magic Circle. I recommended her books to a friend and she's now also reading The Magic Circle. Both my friend and I were wondering how much research she does for each book, ie how much is true and how much is fiction. I realize the story is fiction but she always includes what appears to be historical data, which makes the story really come alive. I love her wonderful books!

Summary: Successful mental exercise
Review: I confess to picking up this book by accident, never having heard of the author before. I read rather quickly as a ruler, so I consciously look for books that have a minimum of 400 pages. I finished the Magic Circle. As for the "end" ... it was an appropriate ending and certainly tied things up nicely. I'm afraid I'm guilty of being one of those people who enjoy being immersed in a book and it's characters ... I don't generally like that sort of book to end. I thoroughly enjoyed the mental exercise that Magic Circle gave me. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Summary: Interested in Ceremonial Magick
Review: I am into astrology. I found Katherine Neville's website while reading her book The Magic Circle. I am interested in ceremonial magick myself. The Golden Dawn system that is. She certainly seems to know plenty about it. I can't wait to finish this interesting book and see what becomes of the dauntless heroine.

Summary: Thank you Ms Neville for writing such an intriguing book!
Review: I first heard about Ms. Neville's a short time ago...i happen to work in a bookstore...i noticed one of her books on the shelf and that peeked my curiosity....finally i began reading The Magic Circle....i got up to around page 410 in the paperback...I can't read it fast enough!...usually i can read at a faster pace but something in the book slows me down....it may be partly because of all of the details...but my usual favorite reading is Charles Dickens...I'd like to thank Ms. Nevillle for writing such an intriguing book.

Summary: The Magic Circle was much more than an enjoyable read!
Review: I enjoyed The Eight very much too, but The Magic Circle was much more than an enjoyable read! It stirred up a lot of emotions, as if the search for a coherent pattern in the universe is a real and basic human drive. Iwant to know the real secrets of life! And this book was a fun way to get in touch with that desire. Please keep 'em coming!
