Summary: Total Page Turner
Review: I coulnd not put this book down. Poor Sidney was thrust into the middle of a large mess! She did all of this while with child. Bravo Daniel Balducci!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Must Read!!!
Review: This book is an excellent written book. Baldacci grips you by the collar and doesn't let you go until the end. I was so intrigued with the technological aspect of the story. He has just the right amount of characters so the reader will not get confused. If you are in the mood for a fast paced, wonderfully written book then this is the one for you.

Summary: A good holiday read!
Review: That is really all this book is. It seems to borrow heavily from other books I've read and there are some very obviuos parrallels between it and Grisham's latest "The Partner". That said it is an extremely well written books as one expects from Baldacci and will surely lead to a Hollywood movie. Which says something that this book is very readable and it is. It does not force the reader to think, to twist and turn in the night trying to decipher subtle plot changes. If you want frenetic plot twist read James Elroy if you want suspense try Graham Greene. The characters are somewhat stereotypical and shallow, the plot a little farfetched at times but if you want an undemanding holiday read then you could do an awful lot worse.

Summary: The most gripping and shocking story i've read!
Review: Though the book was not written as well as it could have been, the story told was amazing. I picked it up and read the entire 700 pages straight through, only stopping to sleep. Brilliant suspense and awesome conclusion!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Gripping and Suspenseful, but farfetched
Review: I've read "absolute power" and got annoyed with it in the middle. Baldacci does a better job of not dragging things on to the nth degree in this one. I found it to be gripping and suspenseful, but I like having clues so I can figure out "who done it" myself. I agree that some of the technical stuff was a bit unbelievable.

Summary: Excellent 1st half but then loses Control
Review: Baldacci tells a good story but plausability goes out the window especially towards the end of Total Control. Still, I'll try him again.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Trips up on his technology
Review: For someone who brags about his research (many discrepancies noted by other reviewers) Baldacci (or his editor) needs to try harder. I was particularly put off by the plane crash gaff, by instant on/off laptops, by a character rushing through airport security with a computer (having often been delayed proving that mine didn't contain a bomb), by the flawless operating of AOL. Most of all, thriller writers should spend time at a gun range and with other hands-on research of weapons. Baldacci might then know that semi-automatic pistols (better called "auto loading") do NOT fire on full automatic when the trigger is held and that the Winchester Defender, with its plastic stock, is hardly the battering ram Sydney makes of it. The author's omniscient viewpoint was downright annoying; with phone conversations particularly it is hard to tell the characters aren't face to face. Dialog ranged from TV script trite to legalese pretentious.

Summary: Wow! Awesome! Gripping! READ THIS BOOK!
Review: Baldacci gives us a typical, and frightening situation. A woman's husband is missing, possibly involved in a plane crash. Then, with a riveting action and web of unending suspense, Baldacci reveals a plot as sinister as any, all of which is uncovered by the brilliant heroine, Sidney Archer.

This book is to be read, not listened to. You won't get the full thrill and imagery if you're not watching the action word-for-word!

If you haven't read any Baldacci Books, and you're thinking about reading this one, just go ahead and pick up Absolute Power and The Winner while you're at it. There's no need to stop with one!

Summary: This was really great!
Review: I devoured this book in one day -- it was so suspenseful, I couldn't put it down. _Total Control_ was as good as a good John Grisham novel, but it lasted longer, so it was even more satisfying!

What a great story!

Summary: HE'S GIVING GRISHAM A RUN FOR HIS MONEY!!!!
Review: DAVID IS AN EXCELLENT STORY TELLER. IT TRIPPED ME OUT WHEN...OOPS, SORRY. WELL,READ THE BOOK! IT HAD MORE SUSPENCE THAN I EVER IMAGINED.
