Rating: Summary: Move Aside Grisham Review: I haven't been is such suspense reading a book since Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris. This book, The Winner, and Absolute Power prove that Baldacci is the real deal. I literally could not put this book down as each page brought along a shocking new surprise. I can't wait to read The Simple Truth.
Rating: Summary: Very Entertaining, Somewhat Contrived Review: This book, the first of Balducci's that I have read was extremely entertaining, fast paced and definitely kept my interest. The plot was just complicated enough and kept me thinking throughout. The character development was excellent and the author is very observant of minor human tendencies. The one negative was that there were a number of scenes that were not credible and the final climatic scenes read more like a movie screenplay than well-thought out novel. Overall, I recommend it to anyone who likes a good mystery.
Rating: Summary: I loved it!!! Review: I could not put it down.Baldacci is becoming one of my favorite author
Rating: Summary: Absolutely consuming..... Review: I guess that this will have to be the best written book that I have ever read! I read a lot and try to avoid first novels, but David Baldacci has made a believer out of me. The story line sounds far fetched, however, this day and time, anything's possible...I actually expected someone in the book to be named Monica!!!!!Thanks for letting me in on a really fine novel... Rating: Summary: This book grabs you from the opening and doesn't let you go. Review: This was the first book I've listended to on tape and I found myself hooked from the opening. The story takes twist and turns from beginning to end. I am a David Balducci fan. You will find yourself being thankful of traffic... it is a must read, listen... book.
Rating: Summary: First time reader says "Bring more on!" Review: I am a new David Baldacci fan! This was the first book I read by him and eagerly anticipate all of the other ones I have yet to read! The plane trip I took it on "flew" right by as I read this. It's suspensful, entertaining, and drags you right in at the first page.
Rating: Summary: Best book I have read in years. One notch under "The Firm" Review: Best book I have read in yeas. I place this novel one notch under "The Firm" by Grisham. When it ends, you'll re-read the last two pages and be sad that the book has ended. Good reviews on this author's other 4 books. New adventures never written about before.
Rating: Summary: It was absolutely great!!!! Review: This was my first book by David Baldacci, and I loved it. I've read every one of his books since then, but this was still my favorite. It kept me turning the pages, and I spent many nights with a lack of sleep because i couldn't put it down. I think it was the greatest of his books. The movie didn't come close to giving it credit.
Rating: Summary: Another excellent book from an excellent writer Review: David Baldacci has brought literacy back into my life. All his books have been excellent. My favorite out of all three is "Total Control". I like the suspense and his details enabled me to see the characters in my mind. How true the government could and would cover up murder, stealing, and so many other criminal activities. This one needs to be made into a movie, but don't cut it short like "Absolute Power".
Rating: Summary: JUST A GOOD AS GRISHAM'S "THE FIRM" Review: This book is fabulous, fast-paced, one of those I couldn't put it down until I was finished kinda books. The characters are lovable, and you will find yourself constantly guessing at who did it! I loved this book so much I ran out and bought "The Winner" DON'T bother.... Total Control is where the action is at.
