Rating: Summary: Pretty Darn Good Review: This is a well put together novel with many twists and turns in the plot. A fast and intriguing read with good dialog and believable characters. Multifaceted Harry Bosch has always been one of my favorite characters, but the story itself is the star of this book.
Rating: Summary: a good read! Review: I like the way this book explains some of the terms used in law enforcement. Some detective books fail to do that. Anyway, this book was so vividly descriptive that it was like watching a movie. Like what the other reveiwers said, it moved quickly and had a group of very interesting characters.
Rating: Summary: A book I could not put down. Review: Again, Connelly's character Bosch is in full form. He is always thinking ahead and judging the suspect with a six sense. This book was not one of Connelly's best but I still like the way he writes. He draws you in to the story and leaves you in suspense the whole time. The characters were very interesting and he really captures their live style and personalities. Truck Music is a book you must read from beginning to end, because you will not be able put it down. It has suspense, drama, and romance.
Rating: Summary: Consistent Connelly Review: Trunk Music is another consistently good book in the Harry Bosch series. The story is fast-moving and very enjoyable. The growth of Bosch as a continuing character is well-developed , and should be obvious to his fans who have read his books sequentially.
Rating: Summary: Great story line bogs down with onerous detail and dialog Review: Another great Connelly story that is made unnecessarily tedious to read by the use of too much dialog and minute detail. When one asks someone what time it is they don't really want to hear the details of how a watch is constructed! I think Connelly got so wrapped up in his research that he wanted us all to know how much time he spent learing the lingo, etc. However, all this said, Connelly is still one of the better story tellers out there (see John Sandford's works for another excellent example), and this novel is still a top notch read....just hard to follow if you are sleepy!!
Rating: Summary: You cannot put it down! Review: I wondered if it would be worth the wait for the next Harry Bosch novel. Boy, was it! It is full of twists and turns. And what a surprize at the end! You cannot put it down until you read the last page. Keep them coming, Michael Connelly. We want more!
Rating: Summary: the first H Bosch book i've read-got me hooked on him Review: I love to read murder mysteries and this is one of the best. I had never heard of Michael Connelly until I read this book. After I read this book, I went to the library and have now read all the Harry Bosch books. I have enjoyed them all; especially Black ice. I really like to read books by authors that all use the same character such as Jonathan Kellerman's Dr. Alex Delaware. I'm always eagerly awaiting the next book by authors that use the same characters in their books.
Rating: Summary: one of the best crime novels i've ever read Review: Michael Connelly does his best in this novel abouth his recurring Harry Bosch character. Set in both L.A. and Vegas, Connelly knows how to twist and turn his way around this one. You'll never guess who done it!
Rating: Summary: Michael is tops in his genre Review: From start to finish Trunk Music is a page turner. Recommends a long weekend with no interuptions. Would make a great movie. Eat your heart out Grisham
Rating: Summary: HARRY BOSCH: Lost And Found! Review: HARRY BOSCH is back! LA's slightly rumpled around the edges detective is involved in a case that brings him face to face with one surprise after another.
Traveling between LA and Las Vegas, Harry is pulled into the sullied world of porno films and strip joints and the mob.
While some of the plot is easy to figure out, Connelly puts enough spin into the tale to keep it interesting and compelling. Best of all-at the end of the book-he leaves Bosch fans wondering what's next for our favorite detective. Connelly doesn't let any of his fans down with this one
