Summary: Good up to a point
Review: I've read a few "Kay Scarpetta" books, but this one was a disappointment. The characters were interesting enough and the search for the killer using the forensic evidence was fascinating as usual. When it came to actually finding the killer
however it seemed that Cornwell decided the book was long enough, picked some minor character mentioned for about half a page earlier in the book and wrote a chapter telling why that person did it.

Summary: Bleck!
Review: I heard about Patricia Cornwell from a friend who thinks her novels are "The Cat's Meow." I thought "What the heck, I'll try one out." What a load of drip and drivel. I was expecting more detail, but the main load of this book was main character Kay Scarpetta's whining & blithering. You have to be a mindless twit to enjoy much of Cornwell's work. Word to the wise - skip this book, as well as any others involving Kay Scarpetta.

(Oh yes, and Patricia Cornwell's feelings on the Jack the Ripper crimes - hilarious. There's no way this (...) fiction writer has solved a 100+ year old infamous crime! She should stop, crawl back into her hole, and write more "forensic novels" for her less than brilliant fans.)

Summary: If you like 'CSI' ...
Review: you will like this book. Dr. Kay Scarpetta is a medical examiner and FBI consultant. She is witty, real and full of your typical character flaws. She is also smart and knows her job well. Patricia Cornwell fills this book with fascinating crime scene and autopsy information that loses me while it fascinates me!

I found this book to be extremely interesting. "Unnatural Exposure" is a quick moving page turner! I had no idea who the killer was. It was a good surprise for me.

This is my first Patricia Cornwell book and I am really looking forward to reading more of her novels. This book is intriguing and I am eager to read more about Kay, Benton, Marino and Lucy.

In short - great book ... I recommend it with vigor!

Summary: Splashing in the shallow end...
Review: These characters are becoming disturbingly one-dimensional. Benton Wesley may as well be made of cardboard, Lucy is all attitude and intellect, with nothing left to make her human and loveable to a reader, and Kay has utterly lost her poise, self-reliance, quick and sure judgement, and all the other qualities that made us want to BE her in the first few Scarpetta novels. Marino never was complex, so he has changed the least. Not that it's ever been credible to me that he became a police captain! I stuck with this because I wanted to confirm my early suspicions about the sort-of parallel plots -- and I was right. Too bad...

Summary: ~*AwEsOmE bOoK*~
Review: I just got bored one day and I read P. Cornwell's 'Unnatural Exposure.' It's a compelling story and has a great plot. However, I ended up being right about who the psycho was. However, it was still a good book......

Summary: Good, interesting and excellent reading
Review: I have never enjoyed a book as good as this. The hitch hikers guide takes you on a wonderful journey through the galaxy. It takes you through close encounters with aliens and gives you an example of the wacky and weird you could experience if you were to travel that far out. If you have this book a wonderful imaginative adventure is never far away.

Summary: addicted
Review: just a case of she done it again... I'm a total addict and this one did not disappoint me. I've read all the books in the series and although the last 2 were not as good, this one is a stay up all night and race for the last pager. I was never really one for reading about post mortems until a friend lent me the first book. Patricia Cornwell has a very readable style, and in a world where most of this genre are by men, it is refreshing to read things from a woman's point of view.

Summary: Excellent Read!
Review: This book is certainly one of Patricia Cornwell's best because the way she integrates the use of the Internet and a extinct virus. Scarpetta is challenged to the hilt with the landfill case because of the complications involved with her rival Percy Ring and the leaks of the information. The way Scarpetta is challenged is a credit to the author. Scarpetta's niece Lucy is an excellent addition because she really can get under the skin of the reader and make them think that she is talking to them instead of her aunt. My favorite part is where Scarpetta finds herself in a situation that she has never been in before and that is where she is unsure if she has contacted this virus or not.

Summary: Great Novel!
Review: I personally loved the book. The involvement of mystery with the Internet and killings drew me to the book even more. Every time you turn the page you just have to keep reading to find out what will happen next. Cornwell is a very graphic writer, which makes you even more engrossed into the story line. When Cornwell wrote about the email messages and notes the DEADOC (the killer) it brought fear into you. At one point, I had goosebumps! All around this was another great book by Cornwell. I will continue reading books by her.

Summary: Dr. Kay is going downhill, but we still get a good read
Review: UNNATURAL EXPOSURE is a good book, but not Cornwell's best. It appeals to me because it is set in Virginia, where I'm from. Cornwell also makes for a few surprises along the way. However, her Dr. Kay series is on a rapid decline in terms of subject matter. This particular book is the victim of decline, but is still good.

On the tiny and closely knit Tangier Island, a woman has died at the hands of a strange new killer. Dr. Kay Scarpetta has been called in to investigate. Early in the investigation, the killer contacts her via AOL with the frightening screen name DEADOC. They give her a virtual tour of a gruesome scene. With little to go on, Dr. Kay faces a new breed of killer. Moreover, she could be next...

This book is not the best, but it is a good read. It deals with a variety of issues aside from the crime aspect. It deals with homosexuality (a recurring theme in Cornwell's latest works),AIDS, vulnerability, and betrayal. If any of these topics bother you, I would not advise reading this novel. However, if you are an avid Cornwell/Scarpetta fan, or just enjoy good reading buy UNNATURAL EXPOSURE today.
