Summary: Required: One day of uninterrupted reading without guilt.
Review: I wanted to catch the next flight to Washington and assist Alex Cross with this horrible crime. Alas I remained home and cheered him on each step of the way hoping my findings and thinking would keep him on the right track. Mystery fans and readers this is a great book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A phenominal author
Review: James Patterson did an outstanding job on this book. I am looing forward to reading Cat and Mouse. I have a great deal of books that have good storyline, and a good overall mystery element; but the ending is weak in reference to the books make-up. Along came a spider had the total package, good storyline, good mystery element, an ending that was unsettling and fantastic.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A fast-paced thriller that kept me up all hours of the night
Review: This was the best book I have ever read. Along Came a Spider kept me guessing the whole way through. Gary Soneji was one of the most vicious characters I have ever read about, but he was also one of the most interesting. He was so diabolicaly smart, but he was also a terrible human being. Alex Cross was also an interesting character. He was just as smart as Soneji. These elements made it a page-turner and I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Excellent!! Couldn't put it down
Review: A must-read! I think the book was pure genius. Patterson is an excellent author. The first book I read was jack and Jill, and from then on I knew I had to read his other books. Patterson is by far my favorite author. There is none other that can compare. You will never be able to guess what will happen next.

Summary: It makes you hold your breath while you turn the page!
Review: This has to be one of the best thrillers I have ever read. There was not a dull moment in the entire story and I couldn't wait to turn the page and see what was about to happen. The only other book which made my pulse race as I read it was The Firm.

Summary: This was the best James Patterson Book that I have read.
Review: I like this book so well that i read it in two days, of course when you are driving across the states you dont have to much to do but read so I did and I found myself really involved with the story. I think that James Patterson should keep on with Alex Cross he's one of the best detectives out there. I havent read cat & mouse yet so I dont know if he dies or not. This book definently made Patterson my favorite author.

Summary: A quick, disappointing read.
Review: I was introduced to Patterson by my cousin. She is a huge fan and has read his all latest novels. We agree on everything else so I figured I'd give him a try since my favorite author (Christopher Pike) hasn't written an adult book in a few years.

Can you say "???"? I don't understand how these books have become bestsellers. I think it must be based on curiosity of the book, not the actual quality. I enjoyed the movie "Kiss the Girls", but that was because I am a Morgan Freeman fan.

I still don't understand the story with Gary. Is he nuts, is he schizo, is he a really good actor? I don't get it. He isn't fully addressed in KTG nor Jack and Jill. All I know is that he is still out there. Why didn't Gary kill Cross when he had the chance?

One last question: Don't the prison security guards learn from experience? Does the term "maximum security" mean anything anymore?

Actually, this book left me with more questions than the maximum of 1000 words for this entry would allow. I wouldn't say don't read it - because you have to read bad books to appreciate the good ones - but read it knowing what you are in for.

Guess my cousin and I don't agree on everything after all.

Summary: Excellent
Review: I've read all of James Patterson's books. This Alex Cross novel sets the tone for Patterson's later works and is by far the most entertaining and 'can't put down' books I've been fortunate enough to read, and I read a lot...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The is NEVER a dull moment!
Review: I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end! He keeps you thinking! You may "THINK" already have the murder/kidnapping solved when he adds another monkey wrench to the story! It's like a never ending story you don't want to end!
