Rating: Summary: a fantastic read! this is the real deal! Review: fantastic writing, plot, characters....whatever come up to my mind. a tour-de-force read. i strongly suggest mr weisman to dump richard marcinko's rogue warrior's series and concentrate himself doing a far better and more interesting writing for himself and for us. the rogue warrior's series after having read couple of them, just become cliched and repetitively boring, besides, what else could we get from that lame series? bombay? mucho dirty words? i love pain? a self-pumped-up, self-important hero? give me a break! the rogue warrior series has become an eye-sore comic series with bunch of comic characters. mr weisman should pay more time to do his own works, great writing, great plot, great information. and believe me, no spy's books would be better than his, 'cause they are so real, so realistic and so interesting to read. mr. weisman, pls wise up and do more of your great works for us, we are thirsty!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Best Spy Book I've Read In Years Review: Jack in the Box is one of the most enjoyable espionage thrillers I've read in years -- I read the book in a single sitting. Beyond a thoroughly delightful story, you will be treated to an insiders view on CIA tradecraft and operational methods. John Weisman is a true DC insider...and it shows. This will certainly be another bestseller for Weisman...
Rating: Summary: Even better than SOAR! Review: John Weisman, the writer who really made THE ROGUE WARRIOR books so great, is back with another topnotch thriller. Nobody knows or understands the US intelligence community better than Weisman--and it comes through in this, his finest book to date.
Rating: Summary: Seems awfully familiar..? Review: While this is a well written book that moves along at a good clip there is one big problem with it-it has essentially been written before. The plot and characters bear too much resemblance to the masterpiece of this genre, "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" by the master himself, John Lecarre. I hope that the author can apply himself to some truly original material in the future.
