Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: Having been a Prey fan from the beginning - I found this one a worthy installment. I liked the villians being women. I look forward to the next one and can't wait for a match up between Lucas and Clara.
Rating: Summary: Another Sandford masterpiece. Review: Lucas Davenport's first encounter with a woman criminal was exciting at every turn. "Prey" fans will not be disappointed. Anyone who was not a "Prey" fan will be after this one.
Rating: Summary: The best one yet!!! Review: As usual John Sandford has written another great book. I used to live in Minneapolis and can relate to all the places in the book. It is great to read Mr. Sandfords' books and be taken home. Thanks
Rating: Summary: As good as the early "prey" books. Review: Having been disappointed in the last few books in the series, I was delighted to find Certain Prey as engrossing as Sandford's earlier books.
Rating: Summary: Well worth the wait and can't wait for the next book. Review: I loved this book. I especially liked the way it started (the 3 worst days of her life) all the way to the surprising dialogue between Clara and Lucas at the end. Hurry, John, with your next one.
Rating: Summary: You know who dunit but that's what makes The Story! Review: From the start there is no doubt who the bad guys, rather gals, are and what bone chilling murder they do next. You wonder how they will get caught which proves a challenge for the competent Lucas Davenport. Certain Prey will keep you turning the pages and wanting more. Characterization, action and plot all believable, even too real at times. You'll swear you know some of those people. The cleverly disguised killer, Clara Rinker, could even be your next door neighbor! Waiting impatiently for the next Prey.....RLH Houston
Rating: Summary: Murder novel? More like bored to death!! Review: I have read every Prey novel and this one was such a let down. Not enough Lucas Davenport, to much Thelma and Louise. Where was our tough guy Lucas? The one who is sensual, intriguing and smart? Instead all the reader gets is the very boring story of a women who has been treated badly by men who then turns to a murder for hire career. Give me a break!!! A real yawn fest!!! The only humor was the fact that the hit woman teams up with a lady lawyer--to much!! If you have yard work to do that you hate or a chance to read this book----- get out the mower!!!
Rating: Summary: Harks back to the humor of Rules of Prey Review: It seems that Sanford is trying out different styles in his last books. Secret Prey was an old fashioned mystery - very generic, good for the genre but poor for Sanford. I enjoyed Certain Prey immensely as it read as if it was ghosted by Elmore Leonard! It was simply fun rather than truly harrowing as some of his books have been (which isn't necessarily bad). Too bad the TV movie was so awful, it might have expanded Sanford's readership to those unfortunate enough not to have found him.
Rating: Summary: GRIPPING FROM START TO FINISH Review: THE BEST SO FAR IN THE LUCAS DAVENPORT SERIES CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE
Rating: Summary: A must read Review: Having read all the "Prey" books this one is by far the best.I found myself rooting for Clara's great escape to ensure another installment in Sanford's series of Davenport books. The open ended conclusion of "Certain Prey" has me eagerly awaiting the next "Prey".
