Rating: Summary: A suspenful thriller that made me enjoy each chapter I read. Review: John Stefonovitch, detective of the NYPD, tries to put a stop the the most powerful, low down, evil man in the world... Alexander St. Germain and The Midnight Club.I feel that this exquisite novel can make an excellent movie. Hey, let me direct the movie so that i could win an oscar, and you can win "best author of the year." Come on Pete, give me a shot.
Rating: Summary: A truly terrible book Review: ... which rated zero of 10 on my personal rating system. It must be nice to have a following; you can apparently get anything published! This is not even remotely in the class of his earlier works and is not worth the considerable effort it takes to finish. I'd guess at this being yet another example of cynical exploitation. Isn't greed grand?
Rating: Summary: Sensational Review: In the first few chapters the book leaves you hangin' . As you read on it just gets more confusing untill the end when BAM it hits you and it all makes sence.
Rating: Summary: Lots of surprises Review: This is the first Patterson book I have read, though I have seen Kiss the Girls. I was intrigued by Stef, the NY cop. How many books do you read that have main characters in wheelchairs? An intriguing, can't-put-it-down book. A must read for anyone who loves detective/suspense stories. I know that I will be reading more of Mr. Patterson's books.
Rating: Summary: Unique Twists On Basic Cop Thriller Formula Review: A wheelchair-bound hero who doesn't let his disability get in the way of his job. A main villian killed off in the opening pages. Double cross after double cross. "The Midnight Club", the first novel by James Patterson I have read, was excellent. The twists it puts on the basic cop thriller formula, some of which I mentioned above, made it an enjoyable read. Hope to see Stefanovitch and Sarah again in a sequel.
Rating: Summary: I thought Patterson would be better than this! Review: The only other novel by James Patterson I have read is "Kiss the Girls," which I found SO much more enjoyable than this novel. The greatest flaws were the characters, and the climax (if you want to call it that). The characters were so 2 dimensional, with no real emotion, just basic stuff like "he was angry, she was sad." And the love story... need I say how simple and lame that was. The antagonism the 2 felt for each other lasted all of 2 pages before turning to true love. Please! Don't buy this book unless you're a die hard Patterson fan and worship anything he writes.
Rating: Summary: i read this book in a day and a half! It was realy that good Review: after reading Black Market, See How They Run and other patterson books i came across the Midnight Club. The characters are truly unique from mr patterson's others. I enjoyed this book mainly because Stef was a wheelchaired version of my favorite charcter Archer Carrol from Black Market. If your looking for an NYPD Blue style thriller I highly recomend The Midnight Club
Rating: Summary: If it was a drink it would be good to the last drop!! Review: All I can say is BRAVO it was wonderful and almost got me fired cause I couldn't put it down and it only takes me 2 days to read a James Patterson novel anyway but since I had to work it only took 4 days. Please write more about these characters and if noone else buys them I will!!!!
Rating: Summary: A GREAT READ!!!!! Review: Patterson is pageturning-est thriller writer in the business and "The Midnight Club" shows you why. He craftily builds suspense from the story's first page to its last. For me, this novel represents the pure definition of a book you can't put down.
Rating: Summary: Blah! Don't waste your time... Review: No, no Patterson, what has happened to you? Is this the same man who wrote Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls? Surely not. Please try harder next time.
