Summary: Exiting! Revealing! Catching!
Review: I got this book 3 days ago and am already on page 230. I have neglected my school work to read this book and I love it. I just wish John Girshman would write enough books so that I did not have to read books from other authors!!

Summary: Disappointing and dull
Review: This may be Grisham's most disappointing effort yet. I finished the book out of a dogged curiousity to see if it might take off somewhere with anything even remotely resembling a Grisham plot, the answer: uh-uh. For better plotting, characterization and ability to hold your interest, try the New Testament. While I can certainly get behind the idea of an alcoholic, workaholic, sexaholic lawyer having a come-to-Jesus experience in the jungles of Brazil, this book doesn't even come close to being convincing.

Summary: Another Grishamnatic
Review: Forget the futile arguing. Millions of readers like myself have read this latest work by my favorite author and loved it. There are millions out there who have read it and don't. We are all entitled to our opinions and what we consider good and bad. I just want to know why my previous review (on Feb 2nd) is apparently gone.

Summary: One of the Best Grisham Books Yet!!!
Review: After reading The Testament, I feel that it is among one of the best books written by Grisham yet. It is unique in the subject that it deals with. In the tradition of The Street Lawyer, I feel that this book is worth reading.

Summary: Probate law can be entertaining!
Review: Grisham has fashioned a modern morality play for American society. There are lessons here for all of us, not merely the lawyers. The setting for Nate O'Riley's meeting with Rachel Lane Porter is straight out of Conrad. In order to cleanse your soul, you must first pierce the heart of darkness. Grisham's tale does, and holds a message of redemption that we all can benefit from. Finely written and a fun read.

Summary: Entertaining but lacking
Review: It's is amazing to me how many people can "review" this book before it is even published. And then, perhaps even more amazing, is the change in reviews once it actually hits the streets - the book simply isn't what people were anticipating from a good writer. Grisham's works have steadily gone downhill with the last three books although this one is certainly better than the Street Lawyer. It seems as if Mr. Grisham has gotten lazy about his writing and turns them out based upon the publishers schedule and not his own creative motivation. Although this was entertaining and an easy read, I've come to expect more from the author and so was disappointed. This will be the last time I lay down good money for the hardback edition of his works and will wait patiently for the paperback version or the local library.

Summary: What happened to John Grisham?
Review: B-o-r-i-n-g! "The Testament" has a thin plot that loses the readers interest after the first few chapters. I bought this book on the strength of readers reviews and was very disappointed--no suspense, no tension.

Summary: He's outdone himself again!
Review: Another awesome book by Grisham. This very entertaining book includes suspense, humor, real-world issues, adventure and religion. This book will appeal to almost anyone that knows how to read. Again he has outdone himself!

Summary: "The Testiment" is on it's way to your local theater!
Review: Grisham continues to excel in providing us with novels that keep us up at night turning those pages! Good story with some interesting twists. I vote for Harrison Ford as Nate O'Riley.

Summary: Grisham Does It Again!
Review: I have to say, I have read all 10 of Grisham's books & have loved them all. His latest book far surpassed his standard. I found it exciting because he went in a different direction than in his previous works. A great plot! I never put it down. I can't wait until the next one!!!
