Summary: AWESOMELY SPIRTUAL!
Review: I think it is wonderful when authors write about God in their books, it is wonderful witnessing when I popular author such of John Grisham write about God, and so many people read it and learn a little more about our Father. I pray that many learned from this book, and that many were brought into the Lord's loving arms of forgiveness. I pray that John Grisham will continue to write great books. Love Becca G'bye & God Bless

Summary: Good but not his best
Review: This book is worth reading but I feel that it isn't his best writting he has done. The plot just doesn't seem to be as catching as "The Chamber". For any Grisham fans I would suggest this book but Mr. Grisham please write another book don't let us remember you with this book.

Summary: Pleasant Surprise - Good Story !!!!
Review: I really enjoyed the change of pace. This was not what I was expecting from a John Grisham book and I found the story touching. This book is a very satisfying read. If ever made into a movie - it has the potential to be one of the better films of the year.

Summary: Not as good as I expected, but still worth reading
Review: This is the first Grisham book I've read which could be a good or a bad thing. The story was interesting but at times I found myself wondering what the point was? I think I know what he was trying to convey, I'm just no so sure he was successful at getting his message across. Still, I'm glad I read it.

Summary: Bad editing
Review: This was the first Grisham novel I read - I haven't even seen the movies. The plot was good, the locale interesting, and the ending was excellent. I'm also glad that Grisham didn't butcher or put down Christianity. That's a rare thing these days.

However, there were some areas that should've been cleaned up by his editor; he repeated details, as if he'd forgotten that he'd already mentioned them, and some of the writing was sloppy. I was surprised that the editor didn't make sure that the writing was "tight." I thought famous authors have the best editors because the publishing houses are willing to pay for all that.

I'm glad that this book has done well, but wonder if the publishing house is just pushing it through because he's incredibly successful, and they trust his track record thus far.

Summary: An excellent and highly readable novel
Review: This is probably not John Grisham's best novel but it is my personal favorite. It is so refreshing to see Christianity presented in a positive light for a change. I would highly reccomend this novel to anyone.

Summary: Grisham's most enjoyable book yet
Review: After finishing the last page of The Testament, my feeling was Wow! What a great book! I loved the adventure of it all and how Mr. Grisham took us away from the courtroom for most of the book. It will make a GREAT movie

Summary: Great!
Review: This book is truly remarkable! Who would have thought of recreating the stories of the Old Testament on a futuristic alien world? The parallel between these mini, sci-fi vignettes and their biblical counterparts is pure genius. Not only that, each story was so much more gripping than the last, I couldn't even put the book down. I dare say Testament is a better read than the Bible. I'm looking forward to the author's next work, Torah! Torah! Torah!

Summary: very bad indeed
Review: The story is a joke, the ending is a joke, and the moral is predictable and patronising.

Summary: A departure from traditional Grisham novels
Review: When I picked up the book, I thought "Oh, boy! A good weekend read" I was excited to get started and get into it...and it was good, just not typical Grisham. I was looking for the twist at the end, where someone turns up with a key file or a key witness or a key something else that the plot pivots on and that trademarks Grisham novels. But I think the author is evolving abit. (And don't we all change!?) Even Street Lawyer had the departure from the pursuit of $$$...and so did this one. I liked the switch, it just wasn't what I expected.
