Summary: Riveting Suspense
Review: Eleven years ago, Will Klein's older brother, Ken, disappeared after the rape and murder of a neighborhood girl, Julie, whom Will had once loved. The police closed the case, sure Ken had done it and gone on the run. In the Klein family, however, they were sure he was both innocent and dead. Then, after the death of his mother, Will finds among her effects a 2-year-old photograph of Ken. Shortly afterwards, Will's girlfriend, Sheila Rogers, disappears suddenly and without a trace. After Sheila's body is found on a Nebraska roadside, Will travels from New York to attend the funeral in her Midwest home town. He is shocked to the core when he looks into the casket and realizes he has never seen this woman in his life. The FBI says her fingerprints belong to Sheila Rogers, so who and where is the Sheila Rogers Will was in love with?

There are more twists and turns in this story than you can shake a stick at as it races along at warp speed. Just when you think you've figured something out, the author throws another curve ball at you, all the way to the final scene. I tried to read it slowly, and savor it, and make it last, but it was impossible. This one is a true page-turner.

Summary: Thrilling stuff
Review: this book, as his last, is certainly suspenseful. Is certainly exciting. Is certainly quite well written. Is certainly interesting. And has certainly got some very real characters, feeling some very real emotions.

There is not a lot else that can be said, really.

I'm sure you know the plot, i shant summarise it.

On hearing what it would be, i was afraid that it would be far too much like "Tell No One" but luckily HC has managed to keep himself out of that rut, and produce a book which is distinct, fresh, and bears only very very small similarities to Tell No One. He suceeds in making the plot very different in its execution, although it holds a similar style.

There are many many great twists. Right until the final 100 pages, it is impossible to see how any of it all connects together, or will make sense. It all seems completely impossible. Yet, Harlan Coben is able to provide an eloquent solution which satisfies, and explains. Well done.

Summary: Another great Coben book
Review: I discovered this author with last year's "Tell no one" which then prompted me to go to the library and check out all the other books by the same author. His style for the Myron Bolitar novels is less sinister and more witty, but all his books leave you in suspense and are very well plotted and written. Not one of those books where you know the killer by chapter two!
This new book, Gone for Good, is about the unravelling life of Will Klein who struggles to move beyond the fact that his beloved, elder bro, Ken, allegedly killed Will's first love.
The book is dark, suspenseful and totally thrilling. Each twist and turn leaves you reeling, gasping, and wanting more.
I definitely recommend this book. Coben has an amazing way of keeping the story going until the very last word!
Enjoy..

Summary: COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!
Review: I am really not a reader of suspense thrillers, but I failed to notify my book club not to deliver this selection, so walla it arrived on my doorstep. I normally just send the books back when this occurs, but I was hard up for some fiction, so I decided to give it a try. This was a fateful decision I have definately not come to regret...once I started this book I could not put it down! It is easily the best book I have read in at least 2 years.
The storyline was awesome, the dialogue was smart, the characters were great (I especially liked Squares). Lots of twists and turns, without being predictable or sophmoric. If this novel is really indicative of Harlan Coben's writing style, I hope to be enjoying his other books soon.

Summary: Terrific mystery novel, but...
Review: "Gone for Good" is without a doubt terrific mystery novel. All the twists and turns keep you on the edge throughout the entire book. But it isn't quite as smooth as the author's previous efforts.

Summary: Gone For Good Review
Review: This book is intriguing and well written and will hold your attention to the very last page. Lessons learned about loving and the pain of losing all you hold dear. A real page turner. Harlen Coben writes in a style for easy reading. A must read!

Summary: Absolutely Fabulous
Review: I usually shy away from books that are written in first person, however I decided that I would give this one a try. This was one of the best books I have read in a very long time and I usually read a book a week. There is a cliff hanger at the end of just about every chapter that makes you keep reading and reading until the very end.

Summary: Another Winner!
Review: Harlan Coben makes his second departure from the Bolitar series (please, Harlan, don't forget Myron Bolitar entirely!) to skillfully plot another great thriller about a missing person!

Coben's newest is set in surburban New Jersey and NYC, and his hero is a social worker, Will Klein, whose life is a series of
tragedies. His old girlfriend was brutally murdered, his brother accused and disappeared for the last 11 years, his mother succumbs to cancer, and his girl, Sheila Rogers, disappears and is feared dead. Will enlists the help of his friend, Squares and Katy Miller, his first love's young sister.
He feels compelled to try to unravel what is happening, because the FBI and local law enforcement appear to be involved in a cover-up regarding his brother, Ken.
Squares is an enormously entertaining "yoga master" with a checkered past, and real devotion to his friendship with Will.
Another great character that Coben explores is John Asselta, a sociopathic acquaintance of Will's brother, known as "The Ghost".

All in all, Will encounters a lot of evil events in his search for Ken, a search that ends in a group encounter in the last chapter that has more plot twists and turns than I've ever seen.

Gone for Good is engrossing, well-written, and makes you care about Coben's main characters. The women in the book, unlike many suspense novels, are well-defined, and you care what happens to them. Coben succeeds, where others fail, at defining relationships while he builds suspense.

Don't miss Coben's latest, it looks like it will top the charts for a good long while, and the only thing to criticize is the neon yellow dustjacket....although it is an improvement from "Tell No One's" deer hunter orange jacket!

Get it, and get into it, as soon as you can!

Summary: WOW!! GREAT BOOK!!
Review: I read alot of mysteries and I'm really tired of guessing the "real killer" 50 pages into them. Well I sure couldn't do that here, there are so many twists and turns the reader is left breathless. I was glued to this book from the first page and it never once let me down.

If you like mysteries, check it out, you won't be sorry!

Summary: EXCELLENT! SUPURB THRILLER! 5 STARS!!!!
Review: I can't say enough about this book! I throughly enjoyed it! It was the best suspense novel I've read in a long time! I've never read anything by this author before. I usually read Patterson, Cornwell, Higgins Clark, Sandford, Iles, etc... I had no idea this man could write such an intense novel. It was suspensful from the very beginning. And it had you guessing until the very last page. I have 2 young children so it is extremely hard for me to find time to read. However, I finished it within a week. I honestly can't explain the enjoyment this book provided. It comes highly recommended because it is sure to impress you too.
