Rating: Summary: Baldacci's Best! Review: This was by far his best book to date. I really enjoyed the villian Jackson and the whole plot was just unbelievable. This was truly a big winner! Baldacci is among the elite of John Grisham, Tom Clancy, and Michael Critchton.
Rating: Summary: STARS FOR FIRST HALF Review: A DIFFICULT BOOK TO FINISH. I FOUND MYSELF FLIPPING THRU PREDICTABLE PAGES. THESE WERE AFTER SHE RETURNED TO THE US. UP UNTIL THEN GREAT READING. STILL HAVE TO FINISH. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!
Rating: Summary: The Winner Review: One of Baldacci's best! A young girl, an abusive drunken husband in a "white trash" southern town and a truely evil genius to take advantage of the situation. Who wouldn't consider taking $100 million if it were offered, but like selling your soul to the devil, there is a price to pay.
Rating: Summary: Every turn A suprise..... Review: One of the best books written by David Baldacci. "The Winner" is an intricate web of conspeiracy that will leave you on the edge of your seat with every flip of the page. This book has it all; action, murder, romance....everything needed to make a great novel and more. This is a wonderful story of a young, poor, single mother who is offered the chance of a lifetime ; $100 million for nothing in return, only to lead a normal(rich woman's)life. Only she is now a fugitive on the run for a crime she didn't commit. And now the only way she can stay alive is to outrun the police and the man who offered her the money.....the man with a thousand faces.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Review: I definately would recommend this book to anyone. The whole story is exceptionally good. I have read a lot of suspense thrillers and this one is on top of my list. I couldn't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful Review: I didn't want to finish this book, I enjoyed it so much. It's been a long time since I could say that, and a lot of books later. I'm hoping another one of Balduccis' books are just as good and tastefully written. I really liked the fact that there wasn't much vulgarity or explicit sex and it was still exciting. Someone wrote that Matt was boring. Really! Has your boyfriend or husband done any of that for you lately?
Rating: Summary: For Those Who Have Always Dreamed of Winning the Lottery! Review: One of the best books I have read in a long time. I have read a "bzillion" suspense novels and this one rates right up at the top. So easy to feel like you are in LuAnn's skin and have just won the lottery. Keep up the good work David and keep 'em comin'.
Rating: Summary: What a Winner! Review: The Winner is just that. A page turner that will keep you up into the wee hours. A chiliad of twists and turns that make for a really great read. It has our dreams, our fears, our desires, our most common human errors all rolled into a typical individual who meets an untypical man who offers a once in a lifetime opportunity. Would you pay the price to be The Winner? Read this book.
Rating: Summary: Incredible! Review: Unbelievable scenes, and, especially, unbelievable dialogue
Rating: Summary: My 4th Baldacci book - another Winner Review: I liked th fast-paced storyline, most of the characters, and the plot. I thought Matt was a little boring and I thought LuAnn was just too perfect. But, otherwise, a great book.
