Rating: Summary: This is the best Alex Cross book yet by James Patterson Review: James Patterson has a great writing style. He keeps you in suspense to the very end of the book. It's difficult to put the book down because you become so entranced in Alex's next move. James style of writing create's such realism to the readers that you imagine yourself part of the story. Can't wait for future Alex Cross Books.
Rating: Summary: seatbelt not included Review: I know this novel has it's detractors but personally this is my favorite of the Alex Cross series. I've read it 3 times in the year since i've had it. One of my personal favorite novels of all time.
Rating: Summary: Impossible to put down Review: I cannot get enough of Mr Patterson's books. I feel as though I know Alex Cross intimately and cannot wait to read what happens in the next block-buster. I think that Cat and Mouse is the book everybody should read this year - even if its the last book you own. Just unbeatable!
Rating: Summary: Most Disappointing! Review: I can't believe this is a #1 best seller! That must speak to the quality of advertizing since it cannot speak to the quality of this novel. While the writing is good, the story is contrived and disappointing throughout. There are any number of interesting themes begun well and ended badly. It is impossible to suspend disbelief. This seems like a work done quickly without thoughtful development or editing. Don't waste your money or time.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't stand to put the book down at night!! Review: Cat & Mouse was the first Patterson book I had read. WOW! I am now headed to the bookstore to buy the entire series containing Dr. Cross. I only wish I had read the books in order! The only bad thing I have to say about the book is the long list of characters. I was lost at times trying to figure out who was who. Had I read the first Dr. Cross book, however, this may not have been a problem.
Rating: Summary: Waste of my time Review: I can't believe I read this thing. This is nothing like his previous books: "along came a spider" and "kiss the girls". The characters in those novels had personality. This book was a repeat of the past novels, but more predictable and defiantly more boring. If you liked this book, you'll be amazed by his previous books on Alex Cross.
Rating: Summary: A TRAVESTY OF THE USE OF RAVE REVIEWS Review: THIS BOOK IS NOT ONLY HORRIBLE, BUT STUPID. IT IS WELL WRITTEN AND MOVES ALONG BUT THE CONTENT IS AN INSULT TO THE READER. THE REVIEWS IN THE FRONT DO NOT JIVE WITH THE MATERIAL BETWEEN THE COVERS, A SCAM START TO FINISH.
Rating: Summary: page turner and completly breath taking Review: Fantastic and I just cant wait til the next installment of Dr Cross. Just cant imagine what was going to happen next.
Rating: Summary: Open Letter to James Patterson Review: Alex Cross deserves so much better. Don't rush us through moments with his family, give him a less ho-hum case and give him a girlfriend with a personality. There were no decent females characters in this thing at all let alone anyone to compare with Kate (Kiss the Girls) or Jesse (Along came a Spider) And Gary deserved a much better swan song. The previous books had conflict, suspense and likable down to earth people, while this is just a mess of gore and explotation of a potentially great character. If you can't give Alex Cross the way I know and love him, I'd prefer if you never wrote another book about him again. I encourage others who feel the same to make themselves heard.
Rating: Summary: The Bomb! Review: I love James Patterson's books. He has such a creative imagination. I've read all of his books. I especially love the stories based on Detective Alex Cross. He keeps me in suspense at all times. Gary Soneji Murphy was one of my favorite characters, I'm glad he came back!
