Rating: Summary: A good Alex Cross book... Review: Admittedly, I would not recommend this book to someone just starting out on the Alex Cross venture, but this was a satisfying followup to one of my favorite characters. Bashing this book is like trying to watch one complicated episode of the X-Files and vowing never to watch it again because you didn't get it. This book was meant for the Alex Cross fans. I loved the way it expanded his character, and even gave us a little more John Sampson. If you've read James Patterson's other Alex Cross books, this is a definite read. If you haven't, start with Along Came A Spider, or Kiss the Girls.
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best book's he's done! Review: I think that this book is brilliant, the way that the end culprit is one who you have actually been inside in the book, and the way that Patterson describes his thoughts. I think it is also good how James Patterson doesn't even let the reader know how well Alex Cross actually is, and how that they had their suspicions of the culprit all of the way along. Actually, it was almost as good as his best novel, Along Came A Spider!
Rating: Summary: This is even better than KISS THE GIRLS Review: Cat and Mouse was the best so far. I read this book within 3 days and I passed it along to many of my friends who enjoyed it to. It has the best ending. I couldn't put it down. And I thought nothing could be Kiss the Girls, well read this one.
Rating: Summary: A real disappointment! Review: I'd never read any James Patterson before, but was in the mood for some light, easy fiction. What I got was so poorly written and predictable that I couldn't believe that it's on the best seller list. The plot is boring, at best, and the characters are so cliche that the book becomes irritating after the first few chapters.
Rating: Summary: Fast Paced Action Review: This is my first James Patterson Novel, but it won't be my last! After reading some of the reviews here, I almost didn't buy it...I'm glad that I did. This writer has the unique ability to make the reader feel that he is right there with the action. I appreciate the many plots that unfolded in this book. The end was certainly not predictable, but was, in fact, really good. Thank you James Patterson for such a good story.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable characters, wooden prose Review: This may be the worst book I've ever read. I thought it would keep me entertained on a 12 hour flight, but I struggled to finish it. The characters were so one dimensional and unrealized that I didn't really care whether they lived or died. All characters were caricatures, not people. The plot severely strained my ability to suspend disbelief. This is an absolute stinker of a book.
Rating: Summary: I do not recomend this book Review: We have a violant world out there now, why expose a already violant brain to this book. Not ment for a godly person to read. I left it in a airport, didn't even want it in my house
Rating: Summary: A Let Down Review: I has been anticipating this novel for about 3 months, but when I finished it I wondered why. Patterson started off great, but with too many insane twists and turns, I would have too say that he failed.
Rating: Summary: Never Again Review: I'm an old Lit-Major who long ago turned to non-fiction because of novels like this. I counted 25 rave reviews on the book and so took a chance and plunked down $7.99 plus tax. God, was I had. What formulaic cartoonish drivel--I couldn't finish the thing. More sadly, one has to access the dreadful state of popular fiction when something like this sits on best seller lists with so many rave reviews. It's back non-fiction.
Rating: Summary: The best serial killer book ever! Review: I've read them all...all the serial killer books and this book is the best I've ever read! This book moves at an exciting pace. It's chapters are short, so short.. that nothing boring can be injected.Don't buy this book if you like the theater, if you think guns should be outlawed, or-if your boring, but you just don't know it. This book is fun, violent, gory and very very easy to read!!!
