Summary: Better than I expected; light read
Review: I bought this book because of the good customer reviews, although I didn't really expect to like it. I was pleasantly surprised. It moved well, the main characters were engaging, and the descriptions were good. There was, of course, the overt male chauvanism you'd expect with a book centered around the sports world. I could have lived without reading about what a hot babe each of the female characters was (with no other redeeming features that I could see). And I found many of the secondary characters to be sort of one-dimensional. Other than those two factors, pretty good book.

Summary: Deal Breaker (myron bolitar mysteries)
Review: i have never read a mystery novel before, i tend to stick to romances, you know johanna lindsey, katie macallister, etc. however harlan coben has an amazing talent to make you forget what you are comfortable with, and fall into a wonderful web of intigue and murder. you will cheer myron on, and seceterly wish you had a friend like win. you might even develope a carving for a disgusting chocolate beverage. you simply must read the bolitar series. i hope coben brings back myron and win.

Summary: Here's the deal, read Coben books, they are sensational!
Review: I have read most of the Myron Bolitar novels and would have to say that although all are sensational, that this is by far the best and is in the same masterpiece category as the independent novels Tell No One and Gone for Good (I have not read No 2nd Chance yet). I would say those two novels are slightly better than Deal Breaker, only because this is part of a series so you know (especially if you are not reading them in order) the main key characters are obviously going to survive for the sequels. If this was a stand alone novel I would say it was equally as good as Tell No One and Gone for Good but even though it is in a series, Deal Breaker is still a masterpiece.

In this adventure Myron's star client Christian, who is set to take Myron to the big time of the sports agent world has received a nudie magazine called Nips in the mail, with his ex girlfriend in a 900 numbers advertisement who went missing years ago and that a lot of people suspect was murdered. The girl in the picture named Kathy Culver was also the sister of Myron's ex girlfriend Jessie, who he is still in love with.

The mafia also believe another of Myron's stars had signed an although illegal, still binding in their eyes contract when he was a kid and demand Myron give his representation back to them, which of course Myron refuses. Myron is now in more danger than he has ever been and he also has to find out who sent the magazine and what sinister games they want to play now that it is out. His best friend/guardian Win is of course along for the ride as well.

This is the best Myron Bolitar adventure by far. It is also the original first novel where it all began. That does not mean if this was your first Myron experience that you shouldn't read the rest, as that would just be plain ludicrous as they are all sensational. My tip though is if you can, to read them in order as some of the plots of earlier books are given away in later ones. Read all of Harlan Coben's books, both Myron and independent ones. He is the master of this genre.

Summary: Outstanding - I love Myron Bolitar
Review: I only have one thing to say - DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK !
It's sharp, clever, suspenseful, funny, and a whole other slew of adjectives. (It also has a little bit of sports in it - and I love sports, but you don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy this book throughly.)
If you like mysterys/thrillers, you MUST read this story. Stop reading this review and buy this book and start reading,RIGHT NOW! :)

Summary: Top-Notch Mystery
Review: I picked up Deal Breaker one afternoon, started reading around 2, and finished the book in a single sitting. A light, gripping read, Coban clearly excels at both weaving a suspenseful mystery and creating enjoyable characters. I picked this up after reading One False Move, and can't wait to read the rest, provided I can find them.

Summary: Big Surprise
Review: I picked up this book not really expecting much and found myself laughing my @#$ off. Coben writes some of the laugh-out-loud funniest dialogue in this genre and Myron Bolitar is a refreshing change of pace as the lead character. Great supporting cast and involving plot made me go right out and buy the entire series, all of which are awesome. If you're a fan of detective series fiction, this line by Harlan Coben is a must.

Summary: Good Deal!
Review: I recently discovered Coben with One False Move, which was so good I promptly picked up the rest of the series. And Deal Breaker is just as good if not better. A fast pace, exciting and twisting plot, hillarious wit, and intriguing characters make for a fantastic read. Myron is a great lead character, and Win is the perfect sociopathic sidekick. The sleazy bad guys are great too. Deal Breaker is an outstanding mystery that will also leave you laughing out loud at times. My only concern is what I'll do when I have finished the whole series. I can't wait for the newest installment.

Summary: Amazing read!
Review: If you enjoy mystery, great plot twists, witty dialogue, and incredibly memorable and likeable characters, read this novel and every novel in the Myron Bolitar series!

This is the first in a series of seven books about sports agent Myron Bolitar, who, because of his investigative background in the FBI, is frequently called upon by his clients to solve crimes that are too risky or unfounded to take to the police. Myron, accompanied by his partner Win, a blue-blooded yuppie with a devastatingly brutal side, sets out to investigate when one of his clients receives a disturbing phone call from his girlfriend who had been murdered years before. The result is an action-packed explosion of intriguing characters, great plot developments, and hilarious dialogue.

All in all, a great book and well worth your time if you're a mystery fan.

Summary: Read them all
Review: If you love a good who-done-it with some great slap stick comedy, then you will absolutely love these books. I have read them all and am anxiously awaiting the next one. The characters are so fun and they take you this way and then that way and just when you think you know who did it, they go another way. Great reading!!
