Rating: Summary: The description of her grandmother alone had me in stitches. Review: It is not often that I read a mystery and laugh so hard that my stomach hurts. I can hardly wait for #3. A great, entertaining read. I love her characters
Rating: Summary: I never thought of being a bounty hunter until NOW! Review: The laughs are getting better and more frequent. The way Janet Evanovich writes makes me feel like I'm right in with the action. Stephanie Plum is an epitome of someone I'd like to hang out with. She's got some good friends, a lovable pet hamster, a mom who's a great cook, a never-ending supply of leftovers and a studly cop who's always there for her and would like to be there more often! So what if she's got a few car troubles and her grandmother's a little embarrassing! (Did I say a little?) This is a must read! -J. Barret
Rating: Summary: Hysterical Review: Stephanie Plum breaks all the rules. She works as a bounty hunter for her cousin Vinnie who is a bail bondsman. She doesn't have the constraints placed on her that a cop or a PI has, or if she does, she ignores them. She's the most honest, real and true character I've come across in a long time. All the characters in this book are wonderful. The cop friend, Morelli is yummy. If he was real he'd probably be high calorie. Grandma Mazur is great. At her age she can get away with anything, and frequently does. She knows a lot about the world...she's seen it on TV. Very few books have ever made me laugh out loud, but this one did. Over and over again. I don't think Janet Evanovich is a rising star. I think she's already there
Rating: Summary: A great continuation! Review: Plum continues to face adventure and fear in this second of three books. Visiting funeral homes with crazy Grandma Mazur tagging along and disrupting solemn moments, Plum searches for missing caskets for a sleazy funeral home operator while doing her real job of tracking crazy Mancuso. One waits for Plum and Morelli (her first bounty job from the previous book) to end up in a romantic entaglement but, when they finally get the chance, she leaves him stripped in the street with only his gun for protection
Rating: Summary: Suspense, Mystery, Passion, and Humor! Review: What Stephanie thinks is a routine case ends up to
become a personal mission. She finds herself in the middle of caskets, funerals, guns and various body parts. Stephanie can handle this, but when the guy she'a looking for, Kenny, threatens her grandmother things turn personal. Grandma Mazur is absolutely hilarious as she is helping to crack this case. Try to picture your own grandma as a bounty hunter and in possesion of a gun!
Rating: Summary: WHAT A HOOT!! Review: I thought her first book was great, but this second installment of Stephanie was even better. I can visualize Stephanie and gun toting Grandma Mazur on the hunt for the bad guys. And Morelli - what's with this guy?!? I think he has quite a soft spot for Steph and will realize it sooner or later BIG TIME. I think they're meant for each other. Ranger sounds so-o-o cool and the staff at Vinnie's (now there's a scumbag), Connie and Lula, are entertaining all by themselves. I'm reading the third Stephanie Plum novel, "Three to Get Deadly" and it's just as good as the first two. Janet Evanovich is on my list of "new" authors and I'll be anxiously awaiting her fourth novel

Rating: Summary: Grandmothers & Guns never mix Review: A superb second book surpassing her first one in humor, plot depth and character development. The addition of Gradma Mazur is nothing less than brilliant. I have never laughed so hard while "quietly" reading a book. It was often enough that my housemates stole the book to see what the fuss what about! Stephanie has now joined forces - sort of - with Joe Morelli, a cop and unusual partner. The banter between the two is sparkling. I can't rave enough about this writer, she is too amazing for words. I am anxiously awaiting her next volume and have even considered purchasing the hardcover, very high praise indeed
Rating: Summary: A laugh out loud romp through Jersey ! Review: From the moment this brightly covered book caught my eye I knew that I needed to read it. All the great ingredients
of a true mystery with a splash of comedy and and a jigger
of suspense. I would drink this type of book any time!
