Rating: Summary: Fun series Review: Stephanie Plum from ONE FOR THE MONEY is back and this time she's carrying around a 38 special and a stun gun. With the help of her bounty hunter friend Ranger, cop and ex-lover Joe Morelli and her funeral loving grandma, Stephanie is out to find Joe's cousin Kenny Mancuso. But Kenny is hard to track down and body parts keep showing up when he's least expected and with body parts being left behind. But Stephanie is determined to find her man. Once again the world's worst bounty hunter Stephanie Plum will bring a smile to the readers face and a laugh. Stephanie gets herself into lots of trouble, which Joe must help her out. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Stephanie's Back and Better than Ever Review: Two for the Dough begins as Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter from hell, is hired to find neighborhood bad boy, Kenny Mancuso, who's accused of killing his best friend and jumping bail. With the help of her mentor, Ranger and vice cop, Joe Morelli, Stephanie's hot on the case, finding a lot more than she expected, including lost army coffins, gunrunners and murderers. This is a fast paced, funny, very witty novel with scenes that will have you laughing out loud. Ms Evanovich brings back her quirky, wacky supporting cast and we get to spend a lot more time with Plum family. The writing is wonderful, down to earth and the irreverent dialogue is unrivaled. In the end Stephanie gets her man, in more ways than one. All of the books in this series are a real treat. Do yourself a favor...start with One for the Money and read them all.
Rating: Summary: Two for the Dough Review: This is a excellent book to listen to on audio I was tempted to relisten again. I would give 10 stars.
Rating: Summary: Stephanie's Back and Better than Ever Review: Two for the Dough picks up just where One for the Money left off. Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter from hell, is back looking for a neighborhood bad boy, Kenny Mancuso, who shot and killed one of his friends. While in pursuit, she uncovers lost coffins, stolen weapons and gun runners. Fortunately, she gets some help from Ranger and that hunk, Joe Morelli. The supporting cast is back and funnier than ever. Grandma Mazur, alone, will keep you laughing out loud. And, you get a little longer look into Stephanie's family and love life. Ms Evanovich's writing is crisp, gritty and irreverent and her dialogue, true to life. Just a pleasure to read. Have yourself a great time and read the whole series.
Rating: Summary: Next in this wonderful series Review: Stephanie is a little more used to this bounty hunter business, but Joe gets on her nerves (and her hormones) a lot more than she'd like to admit. We meet Stephanie's pseudo-psychotic family, including the incomparable Grandma Mazur and Stephanie's parents. Stephanie's mentor Ranger is back, helping her out whenever she gets in a jam, or whenever that brat Joe Morelli gets her in one, which is more often than I like, but you can't help but like big bad Joe.
Rating: Summary: I wasn't hanging on every word Review: Cute story, but I didn't find myself eagerly awaiting the next clue in the mystery. I'd suggest reading "The Pilot's Wife" instead. That book was more of a cliff-hanger.
Rating: Summary: Funniest Mystery Ever! Review: I was just introduced to the Stephanie Plum mysteries, and I haven't enjoyed books so much in a long while. Unfortunately I usually read at night before going to sleep, and have found myself shoving the pillow in my mouth to keep from waking up my husband with my gales of laughter. Grandma Mazur is a hoot and should have her own series. I'll never look at a roast chicken the same way again.
Rating: Summary: What a hoot! Review: A great, fun, laugh-out-loud book. I REALLY recommend reading this series in order to get a background on the characters. The beauty parlor scene explaining the best gun to carry was a real hoot. Grandma Mazur is funnier and funnier with every book. And Joe Morelli and Stephanie's sexual tension and chemistry just jumps off the page! I can't wait to read the rest of this series!
