Rating: Summary: This story goes nowhere Review: What a waste of money and time to read this book. Unlike her former two books, the plot breaks down so often, just like Stephanie(main character)'s newly bought Nissan truck. The only time I laughed out loud was the description of the truck blow up into a fireball. That tells all about this novel--a total flop. The only thing I liked about this book is its cover.
Rating: Summary: Guys will enjoy this novel too! Review: The characters are marvelous. The plot was interesting. The prose did not measure up to the characters and the plot, hence the rating of a 9. Readers of Joe Gores's novels DEAD SKIP, CONTRACT NULL AND VOID and GONE ! NO FOWARDING ADDRESS and Carl Hiassen's TOURIST TRAP will enjoy this novel as it is written in the same style.
Rating: Summary: I LOVED THESE BOOKS!! Review: I LOVED THESE BOOKS AND THE CHARACTERS. I HOPE MISS EVANOVICH KEEPS PUTTING THEM OUT. STEPHANIE AND HER CREW ARE THE BEST TO COME ALONG IN A LONG TIME.
Rating: Summary: Best of the series Review: This book made me laugh out loud. Lula is fabulous, as is Granny Mazur. More!
Rating: Summary: Brilliantly refreshing! Review: I just happened upon this book and fell in love with the characters. What a wonderful mystery writer Janet Evanovich is! I'm out to get the 2 books written previous to this one in the series. Don't stop the stories about Stephanie coming!
Rating: Summary: Loved it! Review: Got my favorite new phrase from this book: "Damn skippy!"
Rating: Summary: I hope Janet Evanovich is like the Energizer Bunny! Review: I want her to keep going and going and going with these Stephanie Plum novels. Three To Get Deadly was her best yet! -J. Barret
Rating: Summary: Hot new star on the mystery horizon does it again! Review: Janet Evanovich used to write romances...and hasn't forgotten how to use sexual tension in her switchover to mystery writing. Stephanie Plum, who turned to bounty hunting when she lost her day job, is, as one character puts it, possibly the world's worst skip tracer, a danger to herself and others. Despite that, she always gets her man, as her high-school nemesis/sometime lover Joe Morelli, now a vice cop, shakes his handsome head in disbelief. Stephanie operates out of the Trenton nabe called "the burg", her home turf, and her many family members, old school pals, and the burg's locals are valuable contacts as she hunts down the latest individual who's dared to jump bail in the county. So funny, and so hopping-full of such outrageous characters, that you may almost forget how well-plotted these stories (this is the third in the series] are as you turn the pages furiously. And, always, there's the same tantalizing question: will Stephanie and Joe finally do "it" this time? The suspense will kill you! Oh, in this one, a candy-store owner sweeter than what he sells turns out to be a whole lot more complex than anyone in the burg has ever imagined. And Stephanie just asks for trouble the minute she takes the case---how dare she go after Uncle Mo, Santa Claus, St. Francis, and The Easter Bunny combined, all in one perfect human being?

Rating: Summary: Don't read in bed if you sleep with someone ! Review: Evanovich is an author who forces me into the other room when I want to read at night - both because my laughing disturbs my hubby, and because otherwise it is SO HARD not to read him "bits", and therefore ruin the book for him. Some of the descriptive narrative in this latest was so wonderful, that I could really see the body flying off the windshield along the Jersey Pike. You come to care about Stephanie and her wild and wonderfully wierd friends. You get caught up in their lives, and kind of wish they lived next door - but then again...A wonderful read for anyone who wants to leave their cares behind for a little while, and just enjoy.(Those that haven't read any of the series should start at the beginning, in order to follow the realistic development of the wacky characters.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful!!!! Review: After having read the first two Stephanie Plum adventures I was really looking forward to this one! I was not disappointed and am anxiously waiting for the next adventure. Ms. Evanovich writes fast paced and fun novels that make you cry or laugh hysterically
