Rating: Summary: WHAT AM I GOING TO DO??????? Review: I am lost without another Stephanie Plum adventure to read. This series of books is the best I have ever read. Great one-line zingers, unique and funny character (especially Grandma Mazur) and all the twists and turns expected of any good mystery.PLEASE, Janet. Hurry up with number 7.
Rating: Summary: Hot Six and Counting Review: This is the sixth book in the series about Stephanie Plum, Trenton, New Jersey's hysterically inept bounty hunter. In this latest escapade, she is searching for her friend and fellow bounty hunter, Ranger, who is also sought by the police for questioning in the murder of an organized crime figure. Stephanie believes Ranger is innocent and if anything, only kills bad guys. Joe Morelli, hunk cop, is here in all his glory and there's a surprise at the end, which I hope will be answered in the 7th book! Stephanie's hysterically funny grandmother has moved in with her. A cop friend has asked her to dog sit while he goes on vacation, and has no intention of taking the dog back. The dog, Bob, as it turns out has a strange eating problem, he eats everything and anything. There are a couple scenes involving, ah, dog doo that had me LOL and rolling! A new character emerges, Mooner. Mooner is a chronically stoned guy and very funny. He adds considerably to the chuckles in this new Plum mystery. Other critics have written that Evanovich doesn't write mystery, or that the plot hasn't changed, etc., etc., etc. In this dreary day and age anything that can make me laugh out loud is worth reading, for sure.
Rating: Summary: I'm hooked! Review: I borrowed this book from a co-worker and am now hooked! I didn't want to put it down. This book is fast paced and easy to read. Even if you did not start at the beginning of the series (like me), you can easily jump right in and follow along. I love the way Stephanie Plum thinks -- just like me. Sarcastically funny. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Hysterical Hot Six!! Review: I had more fun reading this book! Plum and her circle of "friends" are more real, but the situations Plum gets herself into this time are laugh out loud hysterical!I don't want to give too much away, but the "hit men" who are following her really give Hot Six a KICK.
Rating: Summary: Laughing Out Loud Review: Stephanie Plum does it again. This unique bounty hunter gets her men with such a sense of fun, humor and wit, you can't help laughing along with her. Hot Six presents a mystery within a light-hearted read that will keep you chuckling, especially at the antics of Grandma Mazur. I thoroughly recommend this latest of the Stephanie Plum series.
Rating: Summary: Mix one part Sue Grafton and one part Patricia Cornwell Review: An easy read but the beach season is over. The main character is a mixture of Kinsey Millhone (Sue Grafton) and Kay Scarpetta (Patricia Cornwell), you are better off reading a book about each. The subplots are entertaining and help distract you from the main plot which is silly. Many of the characters seem like "caricatures", not real people. For example, the two goons following her and "the Dealer" Wait for next summer then buy the paperback.
Rating: Summary: Hot Dang! She's done it again! Review: I have NEVER....I'm saying NEVER...enjoyed a series of books like I have all six mystery/romance/humor/Stephanie Plum and Co. tales by Janet Evanovich. By the time I made it to Hot Six, I found myself wringing my hands because I didn't have another one to move on to. JE simply won't make it out with #7 soon enough for me....and the long list of relatives and friends I have introduced to these books. I should be receiving a 10% cut for the PR work I've done on behalf of JE! Once you start a JE book....it's like opening a bag of peanuts. You can't stop at one! The best part of Hot Six is we get to know a little more about Ranger, which only left me thirsty for even more of him. Joe Morelli is pretty hot stuff, but Ranger is starting to run neck & neck with him in the "Bring On The Hot Hunks" department. One more book and Stephanie isn't going to know which of these two guys jump starts her libido the quickest. Poor dear, what a dilemma! What fun reading this series has been! Wish I could give this book 10 stars!
Rating: Summary: We Need More Stars for Hot Six!!!! Review: NOBODY, but nobody can write a funnier, wittier, smarter or sexier book than Janet Evanovich. She is the reigning queen of the one-liner! I keep thinking there's no way that her books can get any funnier, but they do. This side-splitter sees Stephanie and Grandma Mazur becoming temporary roommates and Stephanie becoming the proud owner, of sorts, of a golden retriever, Bob. I think Bob stole the story from Grandma Mazur as far as hilarious scenes go. I don't even want to give one away, they're all so good. I highly recommend this book and ALL of Janet's books for a wonderful, light-hearted escape from reality. Reading her books instantly erases all of your worries and cares. Thank you, Janet, for another great Stephanie Plum story!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: She's Going After RANGER?! Review: At first, I thought, you're nuts, Stephanie! How can you hunt Mister Invisible, RANGER, Joe-Pro Bounty Hunter. But, a gals got to do what a bounty hunter's gots to do. And she does it with wit and style and less than polite grace. Top rate! Another wonderful addition to the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. It's about time that someone like TRI STAR pictures has decided to do a Stephanie Plum movie. This series is fun, and humble and contagious. ONE FOR THE MONEY starts it off. I can't wait until book seven arrives. The dog was a great addition.
Rating: Summary: By Far the Very Best Review: Like a fine vintage wine, Janet Evanovich is getting much, much better with age - or at least Stephanie is. Janet has outdone herself with this book. A wonderful combination of excitement, elements of danger and some really, truly funny moments. This book is a fast read - you will want to find our more about what each of the characters are doing. This book also introduces us to some of the funniest folks - especially the dog, move over Rex. I really enjoyed this book and have recommended it to many and shared my copy with family and friends.
