Summary: Great read, best series ever!
Review: I love the Stephanie Plum Series. This was a great addition. I loved the twist and turns that Evanovich always delivers. If you haven't read the first 7, don't start here. You'll enjoy them all. The no cliffhanger ending leaves me worried, I have to have to more.

Summary: Absoultely wonderful!!
Review: I just finished this latest ride into the Burg & I wish it wasn't over yet!! If you like Stephanie Plum novels you will love this book. If you like to laugh like a loon you will love this book too. Hard Eight is one of the best she has written in a series that always keeps you waiting for more more more. Read this one -it is a good time!

Summary: Great book!
Review: I started reading this last night and couldn't put it down. While it's a little darker than the last 7 books, it's got some great moments in it. I can't wait for 9 to come out so I can find out where Stephanie's relationship with her ex-finace' - Mortelli goes. At the end, they are back together (somewhat). I also hope Janet Evanovich gives Grandma more of a role in Book 9. That woman has lots of character. A must read!

Summary: WOW, Whew, Sizzle - Thanks Janet !!!
Review: They just keep getting better. How do you do it? I have to admit, other than the humor, what keeps me and many friends intrigued and coming back again and again, is the Ranger/Morelli dilemma. You've created an even greater dilemma with Eight and we'll have a great time arguing a resolution.

Some have said that Eight is a bit darker than previous books, but it reminded me more of One and Two in the series. Can't get much darker than Ramirez. Dark, light, whatever, just keep em coming (Steph, Ranger and Morelli that is).

Thanks Again

Summary: Stephanie is Back!
Review: After being ever so slightly disappointed with Seven Up, Evanovich comes back better than ever with Hard Eight. Although there are slightly darker undertones to the burg in this book, there are also many wonderful laugh out loud moments. While tracking down a child for her parent's neighbor, Stephanie manages to aquire another wanna be bounty hunter apprentice to "help" out, adding to a real three way circus effect to her apprentions. She also manages to tick off some of the real bad guys in the burg and needs more help from Ranger who calls in his "favors" in this book, FINALLY! Now Stephanie really has a dilema as Joe and Ranger both try to look out for her in their own ways. Best of all we see that maybe the apple didn't fall too far from the tree as Stephanie's mother shows what she is really made of, and it isn't pot roast! Great Read!

Summary: Evanovich scores again!!
Review: Once again, Evanovich lives up to everything I've come to expect from the Stephanie Plum series. I have waited for this book since I finished Seven Up last summmer, and it exceeded my expectations!! Stephanie is at her finest!! I found myself laughing aloud!! The added touch of the obscene rabbit kept me so amused that I had little time to mourn Stephanie and Joe's confused relationship. The character of Kloughn is a fantastic addition to the already zany cast of characters!! Ranger is still mysterious and sexy. Lula (aka Aunt Jemima) is hilarious as usual!! I highly recommend this latest books. Evanovich's avid fans will not be disappointed!! Happy reading!!

Summary: Disappointed as well
Review: I am a devoted fan of Janet's however her material seems very old in this book. It was extremely predictable (including about how many cars will be destroyed).

One good thing, Stephanie might be getting stronger - I know her Mom is.

Summary: WOW! Still in Shock at the ending!
Review: Janet Evanovich takes you on a ride that you don't wan't to get off. I finished this book in a matter of hours (the kids opened their own cans for dinner) and the ending was surprising. Probably not my favorite Stephanie Plum book, but when I finished it I started reading it again. That tells me that Evanovich is doing something right. When does the movie come out?

Summary: I agree w/ Merylnne from Ireland
Review: I was there when the librarian put the brand new, One For the Money out on the shelf in hardcover, snapped it up, devoured it and was hooked. But here, I was disappointed too. I wondered as I read it whether it is the last book in the series. The introduction of the stupid lawyer and his idiotic incompetence and the other woman bounty hunter show us how far Stephanie has come and how far she still is from having professional expertise. But the end does not really set up the next book, instead, it's "Stick a fork in me, I'm done." I hope I'm wrong! I must say though, that Ranger is hot (and gallant at the end), and I have always loved Morelli.

Summary: Better than I'd hoped.
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed Hard Eight, the latest Stephanie Plum enstallment. I thought it was a much better book than the last two. I especially appreciated that it did not end in a cliffhanger, which I have not at all enjoyed in the previous couple of books, and which I consider to be a cheap trick. The action was great, the humor fantastic, and the relationships between Steph and Ranger and Joe were developed to a greater degree than in previous books. I couldn't quite give it 5 stars, due to one particular little scene, but if you have enjoyed the previous books in this series, this is well worth reading.
