Summary: Definitely a "tear jerker"
Review: Diaz and Milla were two tortured people whom fate throws together. This was a bittersweet story and I cried through about half of it. However, like others, I felt the resolution of the criminals was severely lacking. Why Diaz betrayed Milla is still a puzzle to me. I can highly recommend "Mr. Perfect".

Summary: My first Howard book
Review: I scoured this book off Amazon's bargain rack, read some good reviews and decided to buy it. Linda Howard is a superb storyteller, but most of all I loved the storyline in this novel from beginning to end. Howard has a gift of making the reader feel they're right in the middle of some pretty hairy situations. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good story with believable dialogue, interesting characters, and exciting places.

Review: Cry No More, Linda Howard
Ten years after Milla's infant son is purposely and brutally stolen from her arms, her marriage to her doctor husband David has disintegrated, but her resolve to find her son hasn't. As the head of a nonprofit called Finders, she has successfully reunited dozens of families with their lost or kidnapped children. Her passion remains firmly rooted in the desire to find her son, however, and she persists in her quest despite long years with no leads. Enter a swarthy, dangerous man claiming to have the kidnapper's name and a rich benefactor with a hidden agenda, and Milla's life is turned upside-down once more. Milla is at once a sympathetic and a strong woman, and the plot has enough tender moments and surprises to satiate both the romantic and the thrill-seeker. This book doesn't follow the typical kidnapped baby format, which is to its credit, as this is no work of great fiction.
A nice blend of sentimentality and suspense written in typical pop-lit mediocre style. Good for long rides or long nights.

Summary: This one is my favorite!
Review: I love this book! I have already read it over 4 times now, and I still come back again and again to re-read it. I love Milla, and how strong she is after her son is stolen, her dedication to finding him. And I think Diaz complments her character so well. This is a gripping book that is impossible to put down once you've started it, and I mean that even when I've already read it once or twice. I STILL can't put it down! Linda Howard grabs your heartsrings at the very beginning and pulls them along throughout the whole book, and at the end you're bawling. Trust me, I've cried buckets over this book. Here's my advice, go buy this book and keep it close to you...you'll want to read it again. ENJOY!!

Summary: The best yet!
Review: I've read a few of Linda Howard's books, and this is one is the best so far! The characters were wonderfully developed and had great interaction. I was getting tired of the romantic suspense formula and this book is a great break! It still is RS, but the story goes to a deeper level and truly becomes a work of art. Please don't hesitate to get this book, and a box of tissues while your at it!

Summary: Don't Miss This One
Review: One of the most powerful books I've read in a long time. We had a rash of these kinds of stories in the news at one time but the couragous and selfless resolution Howard gave her story impressed me like no other. So well written, and such powerfully compelling characters. I want to have Milla and Diaz over for dinner and get to know them even better. And hot? Oh my yes! Howard is gifted in writing emotionally gripping love scenes. Thanks for such a wonderful read, Ms. Howard.

Summary: Simply gripping
Review: At the risk of redundancy of other reviews, this book is one of Howard's best. Out of all of the books I have read, and I read A LOT, it's definitely in the top 5 best. It still brings me to sure tears in a `re-read" as well. If you're on the fence about buying this, don't be. It's a shoo-win.

Summary: NOT HER USUAL STYLE
Review: This book was an emotional rollercoaster! It had me crying, and at other times I felt anger and impatience and incredulity....
It is the story of Milla Edge, who ten years before, had her infant son, Justin, stolen while they were in a market in Mexico, where she and her doctor husband were living....She didn't just give up the baby without a fight, she almost lost her life trying to proect him!
Her marriage fell apart due, in part, to her obsessiveness over her baby's abduction... She eventually founded an organization that worked closely with the police called "Finders"....they help locate missing people, especially children.....She also was constantly trying to find out who "Diaz" was....as she thought he knew something about the kidnapping...
Ten years later: She finally gets to meet Diaz, a feared assasin/bounty hunter......one of the DARKEST heroes you'll meet in any book (and one of the sexiest!) They team up together to eventually get the villains! The sexual electricity between the h/h is so intense, I felt it right through the pages!
I found it easy....too easy....to know who some of the villains were....hence, I deducted one of the stars from the rating.....I also had a bit of a problem with her handling of the situation when she finally discovered what had happened to her son....I, as a mother, know I would have done the exact opposite to what Milla did.....and yet, I applaud her for being strong enough to do SO.....
This book is for anyone to read....you don't have to be a Howard fan to do so, as this is not typical of her usual style....just make sure you have some tissues nearby!

Summary: Evil baby-stealers get their come-uppance
Review: Milla Edge's infant son was wrestled from her arms in a Mexican marketplace and spirited away, but not before Milla maimed her attacker. She has spent ten years tirelessly searching for her child, whom she believes was sold on the black market. She heads a group called Finders, which searches for missing persons. She is very good at finding others' children, but has had almost no success finding her own.
She receives an anonymous tip that she should find a man named Diaz, that he knows something. It turns out Diaz is not involved with the kidnappers, but he is hunting them, too. They have moved on to murder and illegal organ smuggling. Milla must join forces with the dark, frightening Diaz, but with his help she discovers the ones responsible for the loss of her child might be closer than she thinks ...
It's not an original plot, nor a very believable one. The plot moves with pondering slowness at times, and the villains were ridiculously easy to spot. But Milla is a wonderful character, very human, very believable, with strenghts and weaknesses. And one thing Ms. Howard excels at in all of her books is the sexual tension and the actual love scenes. In most books I skim the love scenes, but not hers. She manages to make them fresh and interesting.
Though this was a book of suspense, the bad guys are rounded up early, and the last 20 percent of the story is devoted to Milla's emotional turmoil over the fate of her child and finishing off the romantic plot. Those last pages kept me riveted as no amount of chases and gun fights did earlier. Linda Howard fans won't be disappointed.

Review: This is the second book I've read by Ms. Howard and I have quickly become a fan. "Cry No More" deals with one woman's desperate search to find her missing son. Milla Edge is feminine to the core but tough as nails when it comes to trying to locate her son. When James Diaz joins her in the hunt, the chemistry between them leads to a sizzling romance. But Milla is aware that both carry baggage from the past, and can she have a relationship with an assassin/bounty hunter? This is a great read, with many highs and lows, and a few places you might need to pull out the tissue. Great book, Ms. Howard.
