Rating: Summary: Judgement in Death Review: I love this series by J.D. Robb, aka Nora Roberts. When I finish each book, I anxiously await the next. Of course, I read each one too fast! This series is the best of my favorite genres: Romance, Science Fiction and Murder Mysteries. Keep it up, Nora!
Rating: Summary: Always Good Review: JD Robb's Death series with Eve Dallas always fascinate and leave the reader wanting more. More Eve and Roarke, more "She-body" and McNab - more mystery, more suspense and more erotic sex. She never disappoints, although I had picked the murderer about halfway through the book. The conclusion between Ricker and Roarke was satisfying - and I got a chuckle when Eve was able to enlist Summerset (her arch enemy)as an ally. The relationship between Eve and Roarke just gets better and deeper - and I like the fact that they make mistakes and bumble through their marriage, their friendships - just like the rest of us.
Rating: Summary: not more Review: i am very angry at j.d. robb for this book. not only did she leave out one of the only decent characters - the sleek, slick, sexy charles monroe - but she also developed roarke's already over the top arrogant character into a thug. how can he beat up his wife's ex-lover and friend for...dun dun dah! touching her arms! and then to have webster to apologise. his posessiveness is disgusting and he comes across as a chauvinstic pig. i wouldn't want him for a husband no matter how impossibly attractive he is - also stupid. nobody can be as perfect as j.d. robb makes him out to be and that is why i feel these books are becoming more and more shallow and 2-d.
Rating: Summary: Another winner from J.D. Robb Review: As usual, J.D. Robb (or Nora Roberts) delivers another spine-tingling read for her devoted fans. Eve Dallas has to deal with a horrific murder in one of her husband's night spots, along with a maniac from Roarke's past who has targeted them for destruction. My only complaint is that is was over too quickly!
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER TERRIFIC READ Review: JUDGMENT IN DEATH IS GREAT! DIDN'T FIGURE OUT THE ENDING UNTIL CLOSE TO THE END. NOW I'VE READ IT TWICE. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ROURKE AND DALLAS CONTINUES TO EVOLVE AND GET BETTER AND BETTER JUST LIKE REAL LIFE. ONE OF THE TREATS IN THIS FUTURISTIC SERIES IS THE STUFF THE AUTHOR THINKS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ANOTHER 50 YEARS. THERE IS LESS FURTURISTIC DETAIL IN THIS STORY. THE MYSTERY IS GREAT AND MOVES RAPIDLY, ADDITIONALLY THE SNAPPY DIALOGUE IS TRUE ROBB STYLE. PEABODY IS GAINING CONFIDENCE AND IT SHOWS! THE INTERACTION BETWEEN WEBSTER AND ROURKE IS A MUST READ AS WELL AS EVE'S REACTION. BUY IT AND ENJOY!! ONLY ONE NEGATIVE - I WISH THERE WAS AN EXCERPT FROM THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES. GIVES US FANS SOME HOPE FOR ANOTHER GREAT READ.
Rating: Summary: Not the best Review: I have read every book in the In Death series and this one was a disapointment. While there are still some interesting scenes( particularly the one between Eve and Dr.Mira) The book never seems to go any where. Perhaps it is time for J.D Robb to start delving into her character's past because their presents are growing stale. I would however reccomend this book to anyone who is a regular reader of the series but if this is to be your first novel I would instead read one of her first ones.
Rating: Summary: TTT (read the book, find out what I mean, and you'll agree) Review: JD Robb's Judgment in Death was excellent. The pace was fast and the content of the action from Eve's work to her personal life was full on. I couldn't put it down, and have to say that these books do just get better & better. Rourke really surprised the heck out of me, I knew how he could be, but wow, his actions and reactions blew my mind. I don't know how Nora Roberts comes up with this stuff but I hope she keeps it up. My only complaint was that there was no excerpt, title or release date of the next book. I have to say I think that really stinks. By the comments of the others I think that they would agree with me, as the excerpt at least gives us something to look forward to as we know we have to wait for ages for the next one. If the publisher reads this review take a hint, US READERS LOVE THE EXCERPT!!!
Rating: Summary: Just WOW! Review: At one point, I was starting to worry that this series was starting to get repetitive and stale. Well, HELL-O!!! J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts has proved me wrong with the two most recent installments of In Death, especially this current one, Judgement. It is simply so well done and does not disappoint insofar as giving Eve/Roarke fans what we want. Is there currently a better couple in fiction? If so, I'd like to know about them. There are really great scenes in this edition. Too numerous to mention them all. But my favorites involve Eve and Mira(particularly well done) and Eve and Mavis (funny) and ALL of the Eve/Roarke scenes (tense/hot/loving).Curl up with this book and a cup of hot chocolate one nice autumn weekend and enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Getting better and better Review: Title says it all. Wonderful story written by a great author. Loved every one of the In Death series and cant wait till the next one.
Rating: Summary: Thumbs Up Review: I loved it. Fast reading and, as usual, over too soon. I love the adventures of Eve and Rourke. I think the ending could have been a little stronger and definitely more suspenseful. Ricker was taken down so easily that it was a bit of a letdown. I enjoy the series and overall loved this book.
