Summary: Different thriller
Review: The plot of this book follows the normal thriller pattern - you meet the hero, there's a problem, more problems, blind alleys, etc. Which is all good. It moves very fast and there's a lot of action, etc. It doesn't skimp on combat, etc.
But what stood out for me were the characters. They actually seemed affected by what happened in the book - they were more like real people, even the supposedly minor ones, than a lot of other books I seem to be reading these days. So much so that at some points they did things that annoyed me, even though they made sense to the characters themselves. By the end of the book I really cared about what was happening to them and I wanted to find out more - which I think is a sign that it was very good. I'd definitely pick up a sequel.

Summary: Different thriller
Review: Well, was I ever disappointed in this latest Bond adventure. It rambled, too many characters, too many cute, non realistic comments from characters to others. Overall, just a poorly structured, rambling, mish-mash about nothing.
Larry you had better see if Larkin is still available if this is an example.
