Rating: Summary: Keeping it all in tact Review: Teri Woods fable True To The Game is a compelling story of the games that are played in the streets; a story of some people's reality. It's a heart wrenching story of drugs, love, and the love of money.Gena, a young girl barely legal, was raised in the Richard Allen projects in Philly. She's smart, witty, and knows what her heart desires. Growing up in the projects, she comes to the realization that money is power and the more money you have the more power you have. She thrived on fun and spending money and with her spending habits a regular nine to five would not suffice. As Gena mingle with the street lords and leaders, she finds true love. Quadir, a young handsome man with aspirations of being a dentist, finds himself forced into the streets as a means to help his family survive. Yet, Quadir was sucked into a life of fast money and women at his beck and call. It was a life hard to let go of. After Gena and Quadir found true love, he realizes that he was a street made millionaire and was ready to give it all up. However, before he is able to turn over a new leaf, death and destruction would claim the life of many. Leaving Gena hopeless and poor forcing her to realize that she has come too far to turn back to the projects. Just when Gena feels that she is at her lowest she stumble across what she needs to brings her back to her one love...the love of money. Teri Woods does a wonderful job of bringing the realities of street- life and placing it at the hands of her readers. If you're looking for a love story with street-life virtue, this is the book you want to read. I highly recommend True To The Game. Stacy Campbell
Rating: Summary: It was a good book... Review: This book was interesting. I thought it was a little TO Ghetto, but I liked it and couldn't put it down. I was very affected by this book with all the different events that took place. When I finished reading it my feelings were truly hurt, and I must say I did bust a few tears. It really made me sad and I think that's why a rated it as a 3. It reminds me so much of all the dudes I knew that are dead now. And the whole thing about the bestfriend I'm sorry but there is know way I would be able to go on like she did without my ACE!
Rating: Summary: Off the Hook Review: This fable is a must read. It will have you wanting more, so you can't put it down. From the begining to the end. Oh! and the end. Terri Woods must make a part 2. I don't want to ruin the story for anyone. So I keep my review short. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: This book really hit home-A DEFINITE PAGE TURNER!! Review: This story tells a very familiar story that most people can relate to and for the ones who don't understand the game this book could be an eye opener. I think Terri Woods put the storyline together very well including all of the major pieces to this very difficult puzzle. The "Game" is like a puzzle and everyone is trying to make themselves "fit". I read this book in two days and needed klenex towards the end. I admired Gena because she handled her business caught between her unconditional love for Qua and the game he's in. E'thing has a price...

Rating: Summary: Mr.Balla talks about "True to the Game" Review: The story "True to the Game" is about a Girl named Gena and her and boyfriend Quadir. While Gena lives in Philadelphia she drives with her friends to New York just to chill. She was with a man named Jamal who treated her wrong and who beat her. She leaves him and meets Quadir. He is a grug lord who runs the streets of New York. However he has trouble with the Notorious Gang group called the Junior Mafia. Gena thinks her life is complete. However when Quadir gets caught up in the game he loses. An Important scene in the story for me is when Quadir got shot and was killed. Gena and Quadir were at a New Years Eve party. They were partying when some people came in and shot him and his friends. "Quadir she screamed, as she saw a guy pull a gun and aim straight at them." page 194. "Quadir come on they're gone. Quadir get up! Please!!" page 195. She went to pick him up and she was covered with blood. I never new he would die. He was famous and I thought that he was well protected. I loved this book. This book relates to everyday life. It talks about teen issues and how people shouldn't hang around gangsta's and hustlers. It also talks about relationship issues as well. To me I could relate to this book.
Rating: Summary: LOVE THE FAST LIFE Review: I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END. I WOULD READ THIS BOOK AGAIN. IF SOMEONE GREW UP IN THE GHETTO AND KNOW ABOUT THE HOOD THIS IS THE BOOK TO READ. I THINK EVERYONE CAN RELATE TO THIS BOOK.

Rating: Summary: Truly Amazing Review: This book truly surprised me. I got lost in it. Hours were passing as I turned the pages until I had reached the end, at that point I realized I had broke night. It took me one day to complete the book, I just couldn't put it down. The book made me cry, laugh and truly empathize with the characters. Teri Woods is truly blessed with a gift. She is a wonderful writer and hopefully she continues to entertain all of her fans with great books. Reading her book was deinitely way better than watching a good movie.
