Summary: It was OK....nothing to brag about
Review: This book was an ok read and it had definite potential to be a good story. On the other hand what I disliked about the book was the fact that Quadir had 17.2 million dollars. If I had that much or even close to a million I would have been got out of the game.I feel like the author exaggerated on Quadir's part. That just didn't read "realistic" to me.The coldest winter is the best book as far as drug dealing and telling about one's struggles and so on.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: true to the game
Review: This is the first book that I read, in regards to the street life plots. What I can say is this book is drama filled. I feel that if you have mature men and boys that are into reading let them definetly read this book.

Summary: What a great and entertaining book!
Review: I really loved this book. From the beginning to the end it was very interesting. I was very saden by a few of the outcomes and I felt very badly for Gena. There should be a sequal to this book. It was really great.

I will have to admit the best was "The Coldest Winter Ever" but "True to the Game" is right there with it.

Summary: The Best Book In The Hood
Review: Teri Woods is not a female rapper, but she is somewhat of a lyricist. Her lyrics are not bars and hooks, but rather chapters. True the Game is her debut novel and it is quickly becoming a classic in the Hip Hop community. True to the Game is a story that takes place on the inner streets of Philly during the crack epidemic of the late 80's early 90's. The story is told from the point of view of a young female name Gena who finds herself involved with a big time hustla name Quadir. The book explores all the glamour and tribulations associated with being a major player in the hustle game.

Even though the book is classified as a romance story, it is a certified hood story and it has difficult obstacles for both Gena and Quadir, that they most overcome those obstacles in order to make it in the hood.

True to the game is the only book representing the game, as well as life in the streets, its like no other story of its time.
