Summary: The Game is Brilliant
Review: The novel True to the Game by Teri Woods is so extraordinary, splendid, and dazzling. This novel is about an eighteen-year-old teenager named Gena who likes in an atmosphere of drugs and possessions. Gena has been in an abusive and uncivil relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Jamal. One night, she met a fine dark-skin young man named Quadir, a drug dealer millionaire from the streets of Philly. A week passes and Gena and Quadir are in the Bahamas as if they going out for a long time. He buys her everything since money is not a thing. However, they both are in a game of drugs and money. Quadir and his crew have some problems with their rival, junior Mafia. Something is going down and time is limited for Quadir and Gena. They both are in the game of hustling and once you start playing, you get addicted until you end it. However, it does not end at all. I love the description of the characters and the book had a lot of imagery, which is exciting for the imagination. I dislike the ending of this book because it is very empty. From the ending, you can conclude there is going to be sequel. My recommendation is if you like the book The Coldest Winter Ever by Sistah Souljah, you will love this thrilling book.

Review: This was the most exciting book I have read in a very long time. I could not put it down. Gena and Qua was a very lively couple that were so in love that Qua was just ready to give up his cartel lifestyle for the love of his woman. But it goes to show once in the game always in the game. Only way out is prison or death. Awsome book, hats off to Teri Wood Fable

Review: let me just say this, i finished this book in 3 hours! it was a good book, the characters were real and most of all Quadir was the joint! i also read the coldest winter ever and the two were alike in alot of ways but i must say i think the coldest winter ever was just a lil better. true to the game was a real down to earth book. i think many people can relate to the characters and also just how much Gena loved Q and all the things he could provide for her also. Red was funny as hell and i think we all somewhere down the line run into a "Red". All in all i enjoyed the book and was very much in love with Q!!! i read another review and someone said that they wanted gena to be pregnant and i felt the same way, just so she could have something that belonged to Q. i won't give out n e more info on the book but just know that i found it to be good and i hope terri comes out w/ a sequel.

Review: I would like to say, so far the book is excellent! I also think that some of the reviews from readers are insightful when a person is trying to decide if they would like to purchase the book, however, it doesn't help when the reader decides to tell the plot of the story as did the reader of January 15, 2001 because I haven't finished reading the book yet. So that person really destroyed the ending for me.All in all, keep up the good work Ms. Woods and hope to hear from you again. 2 fingers

Review: A FEW PEOPLE I'VE MET, HAVE BEEN COMPARING "THE COLDEST WINTER EVER" TO "TRUE TO THE GAME". I THINK BOTH BOOKS ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE BUT ON A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. TRUE TO THE GAME.IN MY OPINION WAS MORE POSITIVE THAN COLDEST WINTER EVER. AFTER QUADIR BECAME A MILLIONAIRE, HE REALIZED WHAT THE GAME WAS ALL ABOUT AND BAUGHT HIS WAY OUT. SANTIAGA DIDN'T HAVE ANY INTENTION ON STOPPING UNTIL THE FEDS CAUGHT UP WITH HIM. HIS KIDS FOLLOWED THE SAME PATH. IF ANY OF YOU VIEWERS READ THE COLDEST WINTER EVER, DO YOU REMEMBER WINTER'S YOUNGER SITER PORCH. SHE WAS FOLLOWING THE SAME PATH. IN COMPARISON TO SANTIAGA FROM COLDEST WINTER EVER. FOR A YOUNG PERSON, I THINK QUADIR WAS MUCH SMARTER THAN SANTIAGA. QUADIR DIED AND LEFT MILLIONS BEHIND. ALL OF SANTIAGA'S ASSET WAS EXPOSED. THAT'S WHY WHEN THE FEDS CAME HE DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING LEFT. MY REASON FOR WRITING THIS, IS NOT COMPARE TO THE AUTHERS BUT TO SHOW YOU HOW THEY ARE WRITNG ABOUT THE SAME THING. ONE SHOWS MORE POSITIVE AND THE OTHER SHOWS MORE NEGATIVE.

Review: ALTHOUGH I WAS HAPPY THAT GENA FOUND THE MONEY,I STILL WISH SHE HAD A BABY BY QUADIR. SHE WAS SO HURT. I THINK HAVING A LITTLE QUADIR AROUND TO HOLD ON TO WOULD REALLY CONSOLE HER. FOR SOME REASON, AS I WAS READING THE BOOK, I WAS HOPING THAT THEY WOULD MENTION SOMETHING ABOUT PRENANCY. SHE WAS UNDER SO MUCH STRESS, SHE WOULD EVEN KNOW WETHER SHE WAS PREGNANT OR NOT. I'M HOPING FOR A SEQUEL TO THIS BOOK. AS FAR GENA IS CONCERN, I THINK THERE IS DEFINITELY ROOM FOR A SEQUAL.

Review: A wonderful book written by Terri Woods..I recommend this book to all..Quadir and Gena were fabulous characters which made me laugh and cry..Sometimes made me stop and say WOW true love is wonderful..I read the book in 3 days because i couldn't wait to read what happened next..Terri I am expecting another book.

I give all respect to Teri Woods not just cause of the book but because of how she got started. true to the game repersents the game you know how it is in the streets and Teri Woods gets down and dirty with this book it didn't take me no time to read this book. to the people who have not got this book go get it and to Teri Woods keep up the good work and i will be lookin for your next book.
