Review: True to the game is the best book that I have read so far. The book describe the early 90's in Chicago to perfection even though it was based in philly. Terri did such a great job in describing the charaters. I know I loved me some Quadir and Gina. I couldn't put the book down. I have told so many people to get this book it's unbelievable. Keep up the good work. I hope I get the same results from the book "Be more careful".E

Review: "True To The Game" was the best novel that I have ever read. The book was so real every little thing that happened in the book was real. The book was just like the streets of Chicago. When Quadir got killed Terri Woods wrote the part so that you could feel every little pain Gena felt. When Gena friend got killed I just said to myself "she should've got in the car with Rasun" but like Q daddy told Gena when it's your time to go it's your time to go. You can't escape your death. The only thing that mad me mad was that after everybody was getting killed at the party they were still attending them.

Summary: Terific and Beyond
Review: This book is one for the records, it has you going from beginning to the end, in fact you are so into this book you are totally unaware of your surroundings. I actually missed plenty of stops trying to go from one place to another while reading this book. I was in the doctor's office one day and let about four people ahead of me just to finished another part in the book. I didn't want this book to end. I'm still reeling for Gena and wishing things could have been better for Quadir. Thank you Terri Woods, when is the movie?

Summary: Only ... in this game
Review: Teri woods true to the game is the ABSOlUTE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ! This book glamorizes and glorifies the life of the hustler and the hoochie. None of the characters have any depth and the book has no sense of realism. The teenage girls seem to live in a fantasy world of men and money, and the guys seem to think hustling is the only way of life to live. There is nothing real about this. It's all pretty sad. I expected better. Pick up dopefied by Donald Goines or Pimp by iceberg slim those books show you what the "game" really is.

Review: I loved True to the Game! Teri Woods you did very well. My friends have been trying to get me to read this book for a dumb long time but I wasn't to thrilled with paying 15 dollars and I was trying to find somebody who would loan me the book. Well I got tired of waiting and brought it. I'm really glad my cheap behind did because it was worth every penny. I love reading books that remind me of 'The Coldest Winter!' The book mentioned a lot of different names of characters that may have been slight confusing here and there but that didn't take the interest out of the book. Listen if your as cheap as I am and always want to borrow books- I think you should get out and buy it because True to the Game is worth every penny! This needs to be a movie. ****NOTE***** This is for the HATERS and their negative reviews on True to the Game!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Yes there are a lot of Drugs, Sex, Murder, Violence, and Money involved in this book which is explained on the BACK of the book. So I don't understand how come some readers may have been 'appalled', 'angry' about the book because of its plot. All I got to say is that YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!!!! You most likely had a glimpse of what the book was about then have a nerve to complain about getting your money back! - Also some reviewers are saying that Ms. Teri Woods is 'GLORIFYING' drugs and other negativity in a Black Community! I think that's stupid! True to the Game was not glorifying the drug game at all. Eventhough Gena had a lot of money to spend, expensive clothes, car, and house that didn't mean that she had the 'best' life. She lost a bestfriend, girlfriends, mutual friends, enemies, and most importantly Quadir- the love of her life. She almost was murdered twice. It also deplicted how the big time drug dealers were getting murdered left and right. Now someone please tell me if this is glorifying or not??? Thank You for reading. :-)

Summary: Compelling, an author that's going places
Review: I learned of "True To The Game" after reading about the title in a magazine. I immediately read the book. This title is raw and creative. Terri Woods is an author who uses her own style and originality to tell a story. She is going places. I strongly recomend this title to someone who is looking to delve into something different.

Review: I give this book 5 stars because it had so much detail and it was almost like I knew the people who where in the story. I also liked the story because it takes place in Philly which is where I am from.
