Summary: A very good maiden effort by Mr. Child
Review: Jack Reacher is one tough guy. He's Mike Hammer transplanted in the 90's. The only thing he doesn't do is put his heel in the face of his victims to enjoy the crunch of broken teeth and cartilage. The coincidence half way through the story had me worried, but Mr. Child pulled it off. Killing Floor is a decent read and a very good maiden effort by Mr. Child.

Summary: A Major Disappointment
Review: What a major let down. The main character, Jack Reacher, is superhuman. He can do anything - including destroying the bad guys - no matter what. Thank God for all that militiary training;otherwise poor Jack would never be able to kill all those bad guys. It takes no effort to ice four,five,six slugs all at once and then return to his lover's arms for a little TLC.

Review: Lee child is now one of my favorites!! His books keep me up past bedtime. He makes all the detail interesting to read instead of skipping over it.

Review: Jack Reacher is great but the plot lets him down badly. The book seems well researched but the plot is painfully predictable. I read in avid anticipation of a plot twist that never happened. As for the handling of the relationship between the key characters at the end - simply awful!

Review: An excellent debut by the author. Jack Reacher IS Steven Seagal, only better looking. The language is terse, no words wasted. The plot is taut. Mr.Child has actually done some research into counterfeit currency. This book will make an excellent action thriller movie. I look forward to more Jack Reacher. He's as cool as ice!

Review: Having lived in the South all my life, I just knew that Jack was sunk in that first chapter. What a fabulous surprise when he turns out to be the hunky protagonist! Great plot twists and turns that keep you turning the pages. I highly recommend this book. It's a wild ride! Can't wait for the next one from this great new author!
