Summary: Mother of a read...
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I am the mother of a 14 month old and have not been able to stay with a book (I like the murder mystery genre) since I was pregnant. For those of you with little ones you know what it's like trying to read with an infant needing your constant attention and then later a toddler ripping the book out of your hands. This one I can steal a chapter or a half a chapter here and there (during naps and such) and not get "lost" when I pick it back up again. I found it while reading a selection from it in Cosmo. What a find.

Summary: Not super-great
Review: I really liked Kate White's first book, but the same can't be said for her last two. This book, A Body To Die For, just seemed to go through the mystery motions. White seems to like to throw a lot of people in the mix that had reasons to be the guilty party, so I tried to play along and keep an open mind. Still, by the end of the book, I didn't care who did it, and finding out wasn't gratifying on any level. I also didn't care about any characters, including Bailey, the protagonist. Every character was at best two-dimensional.

Summary: Witty Girlfriend Writing
Review: Kate White is a witty author with a fast moving story and character. While reading this book, it is almost like a smoothe conversation. Bailey is at it again and you get to ride along with all the mayhem. It's a fast, uncomplicated read - enjoy! But why did we have to get rid of Jack??????

Summary: nice light read
Review: Kate White is rather good at writing fast paced, quick reads. The premises of her mystery novels are always rather good as well. For me, though, where things fail to satisfy is in the developments of the characters (they all remain rather superficially paper thin), and the plot -- things generally start of really well but then tend to stagnate for a good chunk of the book, before taking off somewhere around the last third of the book. And with "Til Death Do Us Part" much of this criticism was true. But is also true that of the three Bailey Weggins mystery novels published so far, this is the one I enjoyed most.

Someone seems bent on offing the bridesmaids of the Cross/Slavin wedding -- or so Ashley Haines (one of the bridesmaids at the wedding) claims to Bailey Weggins, a true crime writer who has also found herself entangled in a few murder investigations of her own. And while Bailey would like nothing better than to ignore Ashley's claims (esp since rich and super snooty Ashley just rubs her up the wrong way), this is one allegation that Bailey cannot ignore since she herself was one of the Cross/Slavin bridesmaids. What Bailey learns is that two other bridesmaids who had become rather close since the wedding have died in accidents within weeks of each other. Intrigued by the coincidence of it all, Bailey decides to look into to things. But she has barely started her investigation when Ashley is found dead! The police believe that Ashley's death was accidental, but by now Bailey is convinced that someone is out to kill every single bridesmaid from the wedding. Discovering why and who is proving more difficult than usual, esp since Bailey is now spending a great deal of time looking over her shoulder. Will Bailey solve the mystery before the determined killer gets to her? Or will she too, like the bridesmaids before her, become another victim of an "accidental" death...

If you're looking for a fast and light read, esp if you're en route somewhere, this is definitely the book for you. Events unfold at a brisk pace, and the authour's narrative style is snappy and engaging. Time definitely does fly when you're reading "Til Death Do Us Part." But I did think that the story and character developments left a lot to be desired. The book is a goodish read -- just not a stellar one.

Summary: exciting crime thriller
Review: One year ago, free lance reporter Bailey Weggins was the bridesmaid at her college roommate's wedding to wealthy businessman David Slain. Since them Bailey has not spoken to the new bride because Paige is trying build up her business as the next Martha Stewart with her television show, her catering and lecturing business. Out of the clear blue sky, one of the other bridesmaids calls Bailey and asks her to meet her that night.

When Ashley and Bailey meet, she tells the reporter that two of the bridesmaids have since died and she thinks that they were murdered even though the police believe they were the victims of freak accidents. One of the bridesmaids was Ashley's roommate and believes that something strange happened at the welding. Bailey looks into the matter but before she gets far Ashley is killed while redecorating the silo on Paige's estate. Now Bailey is really worried and believes her life is in danger because someone is trying to get her off the case using any means available including murder.

'TIL DEATH DO US PART is an exciting crime thriller because the reader does not truly know whether there is a killer until mid-way through the book and that is only when someone rams the protagonist's car, leaves frightening notes and makes threatening calls. There is an unexpected twist in the storyline that keeps the audience from guessing the identity of the culprit, which makes the who-done-it even more complex. Kate White has written another great crime thriller.

Summary: Good read!!
Review: This book is the most interesting in the Bailey Wiggins series. It kept me guessing throughout the entire book! I also loved the ending, where Bailey finds a stronger sense of self.

Summary: a page turner
Review: This is Kate White's third Bailey Weggins mystery, and it's the best one yet! White keeps the pace fast and the suspense-filled plot keeps you guessing. I was certain I knew who the killer was, only to be completely surprised in the end. It's also a fun, dishy look into Greenwich, CT society and of course the magazine world Bailey lives in. I couldn't put it down!

Summary: Too Light
Review: This was a very light read - the writing seemed juvenile. The characters didn't give me anything to care about - they seemed very shallow and materialistic.
