Summary: BLAND
Review: I just didn't feel the energy in this book that I have in most of the other "Plum" series books. I had the honor of meeting Ms. Evanovich and she says she has a lot more to come. I am a big fan of this series but this book was preditable with every page I turned. Sorry.... I know this is not a popular response.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Predictable, slow-paced, un-clever and overall lifeless are the best terms I have to describe To The Nines. I own every single one of the Plum books and have re-read them frequently (still laughing at parts despite my familiarity with the story). This new book disappoints on almost every level (which is very hard for me to say).

The normal tension present between morelli/steph and ranger/steph is virtually non-existent. The story is full of the same one-liners that are getting very tired. The carnation/rose killer is easily figured out early on in the story. Steph isn't her normal, silly, sarcastic, funny self. I miss her funny stream-of-consciousness. It's boring that Ranger's thugs take down all the bad guys. It's boring that they keep getting injured while looking after steph. The story is full of implausibilities that normally I'm willing to set aside because I'm enjoying it so much and laughing so hard, this was not the case in number 9. Morelli is a spineless robot in this story. He appears only when it's convenient for the story. Same tired lines again, "you might want to be careful, this guy is scary." Geez. When ISN'T the bad buy scary? When isn't the bad guy playing games with stephanie?

I'm going on and on mostly because I am so disappointed. I really wanted to enjoy this story because I have so thorougly enjoyed the others. There were moments in the other 8 books that I have literally laughed until I cried. While the story does start moving along near the end and actually gets exciting at points (which is why I gave it 3 stars and not less) and has a few humorous scenes, it's not enough to carry off the book. I think this book (and the awful christmas edition) sadly marks the end of the Stephanie Plum joyride. My opinion is that JE should write a tenth book with the intention of it being the last plum novel. Make it a doozy in the true plum fashion and let it go out with a bang.

Summary: Stephanie is getting old!!! ; (
Review: I am a big fan of Stephanie's but I'm seriously disappointed with the latest installment in the series.
Stephanie Plum lost her feistiness and it seems like Lula and Connie have more spank than our bounty hunter. I did laugh out loud in several places but overall pace of the story lulled me to sleep. It's OK for summer read but not worth the hardcover expense.

Summary: To the Nines a Six
Review: Not as good as earlier books in the series, except for Sugarplums which was awful. There were still some laughs but the "villian" was obvious from the beginning. I hope Janet isn't starting to turn them out in a hurry to just meet a deadline. My favorite character is Grandma Mazur (I love her visits to the funeral parlor) and she has little to do in this story. On the other hand, Lula dominates the story and she is my least favorite character (please Janet less of her next time). Plus I don't think her sister Valerie is adding much to the series. I did like the fact that Stephanie actually showed she could handle herself a couple of times on her own. Also, I liked how Ranger's merry men took the place of the exploding cars. I think it's about time Stephanie made up her mind to marry Morelli. Just picture what hilarity could take place on the honeymoon or her going after a skip while pregnant or dragging a toddler with her. I think things need to advance or the series is going to get stale. I'm still looking forward to the next book but I hope Evanovitch spend more time on the plot and makes it as good as the early ones.

Summary: blah
Review: blah, blah, blah. you can read this book in an hour, that's because it took janet evanovich an hour to write this uninspired waste of my time.

Summary: Still a good read
Review: The Stephanie Plum series are the only books of which I have first editions of every book on my bookshelf. That being said, this installment fell just a little flat. There were some laugh out loud moments, but not quite as many as usual. I was able to figure out the protagonist from the first clue, and this is an absolute rarity for me.

That being said, I enjoyed myself and will faithfully pre-order the next in the series, as she is still my favorite.

Summary: WHEN IS THE NEXT BOOK?
Review: honestly, i think that janet evanovich should cease everything else in her life except writing stephanie plum books. one a month would probably satisfy. i am so glad that i happened upon the series, and i've turned many friends and family members on to them as well. we wait anxiously for each book. we quote lula and grandma mazur. we argue on who stephanie should end up with - and most of all, we debate who should play who in the movie versions of each book. WHEN WILL SOME SMART MOVIE EXECUTIVE START GIVING US STEPHANIE MOVIES?? please, janet, write more! write faster! QUICK!!! QUICK!!!!

Summary: Worst Yet
Review: This book was by no means JE's best effort. It was obvious from the start who did it. The story lines plodded by and few parts were very funny at all. No suspense and few laughs made for a relatively dull book. At least it was all over quickly.

Summary: Don't Ever Let It End
Review: Every time I start a Stephanie Plum book I wonder if J.E. can keep the characters and the stories fresh and as fun as the last. Amazingly, she does and is better each time. I am worried to think the series could eventually come to an end. I think I should just start at one and re read all the adventures again. Four was definately my favorite, and this new installment is right up there with the rest of them.

Summary: Stephanie Plum is BAAAACK!
Review: After a disappointing "Vision of Sugar Plums" novella released at Christmastime, Janet Evanovich fans will be glad to find the author back on track with her ninth full length novel starring Stephanie Plum, female bounty hunter from the 'burg (aka Trenton, NJ). All of our favorite characters are back this time with Ranger, Morelli and Lula in the forefront. Grandma Mazur is less prominent this time. Alot is packed into this tale and it moves hilariously from Trenton to Las Vegas with the plot coming to a head back in "The Burg". Die hard fans will love this one. It's classic Evanovich at her best!
