Summary: A Huge Disappointment
Review: As an extremely avid reader, I can usually find something good in every book I read, but this book was not one of them.

The plot, characters and storyline were totally unbelievable. I never grew to care about any of the characters, although the main male character, Michael Travis, was tolerable. The female characters were just obnoxious.

The telekenetic aspect was ridiculous and grew tiresome very quickly. The political aspect was just way too much -It got boring and confusing. The characters had absolutely no chemistry together and I had a hard time telling who the main character even was, Melissa or Jessica. The entire book just seriously lacked any sort of substance.

I stuck it out until the very end, hoping it would get better, but no such luck. I truly hate giving such a low mark, but this one really deserves it.

Summary: Good but not her best
Review: I did enjoy this novel but I was a little let down. As a very big Iris Johansen fan, I was excited to get this book. I was satisfied because, true to form, she kept me turning pages. However, in comparison to her other novels, we barely scratch the surface with these characters. I hardly knew anything about anyone in the book when they were thrown together in this plot, and the psychic bond between Melissa and Cassie develops. I would have a appreciated a little more background on the characters. For this reason I give it three stars.

Summary: Boring and Endless... Undeveloped..Unbelieveable..
Review: This is the second book I have tried reading by this author and again I am coming to the same conclusion, bordem. Her writing is very...boring and bland. I hate to be so blunt because writing takes so much time and creativity, but in this case, I feel that no creativity was put into it.
This thriller/romance read more like a political-intrigue-drama than any thriller/romance I have EVER read. Way too heavy on the politics for my taste and then she brought in the telekenetic bond between undeveloped characters and I was like, alright, I had enough. I mean, we barely knew the characters and then now we're supposed to buy the whole telekenetic connection thing between them in dreams? I was often catching myself making faces of disbelief and felt bored to tears.
The storyline was so monotone that I had to reread pages because I apparently lost interest enough to let my mind wander to things like the laundry sitting in the washer and if my dogs needed to go out instead of what had happened telekenetically between these people. It began happening so much that I gave up midway through and said enough.

~Cassie Andreas is the daughter of the President of the United States and has been catatonic since the murder of her nanny and the Secret Service Agents on duty protecting her. All she sees are green eyes looking at her from the darkness. The only person who can free her from her state is reknowned Dr. Jessica Riley.
Jessica specializes in kids and people with severe tramatic experiences. But this job is far beyond her experiences.
She enlists the help of her sister, another of her patients who also was brought back from the same state years ago. Between Jessica and her sister Melissa they also find the help of a surly man named Michael Travis; the President trusts to help, what they find is disturbing...how is it that Melissa and this man can actually communicate with Cassie when she doesn't speak?

Mysterious powers prevail and the answer to the burning question of who-dun-it becomes all too risky and dangerous. Can Cassie save them before the killer strikes again or will it be their demise...
Sorry fokes, but no real intrigue here, just alot of unbelieveable 'powers' and some very underdeveloped characters that you will easily forget.

Summary: Stinker
Review: I've always enjoyed Iris Johansen's book until this stinker. A big waste of time and money. Silly plot and characters ugh!

Summary: Awful!
Review: This has got to be one of the cheesiest books I've ever read! There was no character development, so you have no idea what is going on with them. The dialogue is cheesy, and it is just plain boring! I know this is a well-liked author, but I don't know what she was thinking when she wrote this book. I didn't like it at all! Luckily, I picked this up at the library and did not waste any money on it!

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I picked this book up because I'd read and heard before that reading Iris Johansen was always thrilling. I must say that I was disappointed.

The plot is really good. I mean the president's daughter is in crisis, those who want to save her also end up getting into trouble with the President, the Wind Dancer, stolen fake diamonds, a professional killer, a pre-med student and some romance.. This plot could have been written in a much more exciting way!

The characters are underdeveloped. Some of the dialogues sometimes get confusing, you dont know who's saying what... The twist in the plot is abrupt.

I had a hard time finishing this book. ...I would say pick up another of Iris Johansen's book especially if it's the first time you'll read her work.

Summary: Good book
Review: I liked this book a lot. There is adventure, science fiction, drama and female heriones who actually help save other people.
(I'm tired of the story line of the male hero with the dingy female who keeps messing things up.) The book surprised me with different plots and kept me on edge. I read it every free moment in two days. (I'm a mom and work full time.)
The main character dies and the story ends up with the point of view of another character. I don't think I've read a book before that did this. It actually flowed well even with the character change.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: a disappointment
Review: It has all the elements of a good romance mystery...but they are never developed. I think she did a poor job of giving the characters depth. The story line is just too unbelievable. Lots of disappointments in this book, I would recommend you borrow it from a friend it you have to read it. Don't waste your money.

Summary: Two Thumbs Down
Review: Final Target was the first book I've read by Iris Johansen. It will be the last.

The storyline may have worked in this book, but without character development it fell flat. I put this book down when I found myself laughing at what was supposed to be a serious turn in the plot.

Only two words come to mind to describe Final Target - claptrap and tripe. Save your time and money.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Easy to put down and never pick up!
Review: I have loved all Iris Johansen novels, even when she was writing more along the lines of historical romance. This book is haphazard and thrown together, totally confusing at times. I have come to expect a higher caliber of writing from Ms. Johansen, so this book was an extreme disappointment to me. I would save my money.
