Review: Reading is not a thing I like to do, but this book is by far the best thing that I have had the pleasure of reading. His books flows like I have never seen, and the reading style is easy. Even though I do not like to read, I will be getting more of his books. This is an American Classic.

Review: THIS BOOK IS MY FAVORITE OF THE DONALD GOINES COLLECTIONS. WHY BECAUSE THE STORY IS SO SINCERE ABOUT TWO YOUNG PEOPLE MAKING IT, WHEN PEOPLE THOUGH THEY WOULDNT. THEY WHERE IN LOVE AND THEY SHOW IT FOR EACH OTHER WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT. THE WERE TRULY THE URBAN LOVE STORY. BORN POOR BUT NOT COUNT OUT. I JUST FEEL THIS TWO MAIN CHARACTERS THROUGH OUT THE BOOK.

Review: THIS BOOK WAS GOOD! IT TALKED ABOUT WHAT YOUNG KIDS DO WHEN THEY ARE FACED WITH RAISING THEIRSELVES. IT TOLD THE GHETTO LOVE STORY OF A UGLY BOY AND A YOUNG PRETTY GIRL WHO STAND TOGETHER AS ONE! THEY WERE LIKE BONNIE AND CLYDE. DONALD GOINES BOOKS SPEAK THE TRUTH BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. THEY NEVER END THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO. THEY END THE WAY LIFE USUALLY TURNS OUT FOR MOST PEOPLE.

Summary: The only book that has ever touched me
Review: This book was great. I was drawn into every moment of it. i could feel how cold she was and how miserable her life was i wanted to help her but i knew i couldnt it made me want to never stop reading. i could feel the love she had for chink and how she could have been a wonderful kid if her mom had just cared for her. she only got into the wrong people and made the wrong decisions because no one had ever taught her right from wrong. i could feel her pain when she was sad i could feel her happiness when she was happy i felt like i was living her life from the heavens above just watching her not being able to guide her. i loved this book it taught me alot and showed me it could be worse knowing certain circumstances.

Review: This book was not very good, I've never heard of this author but after reading the reviews and seeing the price..I decided to give it a go. The book moves fast..maybe too fast..pretty bland and boring really too fast. If I would've know the book was originally published in 1973 I wouldn't have ordered it, a lot of the terms in the book really let you know that it was written over 30 yrs ago. Wouldn't recommend you buy this book, it's a so so read...but not one for keeps.

Summary: Once was lost, now she's found
Review: This is a story that truly lives up to its title. Sandra (the main character) was lost from the moment we were introduced to her, but it wasn't her fault. It looked as if she wouldn't recover from the beginning until she found someone who was somewhat similiar to her. Throughout the story, Goines shows how their bond became stronger and it remained that way until the very end. She found someone who believed in her, and in return, gave him all she could all the way to the climax. Once again, he wrote a piece which was very realistic and brutally honest.

Review: this is the first book ive ever read from donald goines. i read this book about 2 yrs ago. im a 17 yr old female. i love his books. i never cried so much. the characters were so alive. my heart goes out 2 anyone who can relate to any of the characters in this book. its worth the money!

Review: This is the first Donald Goines book that I have read and I read it in six hours flat! I mean I couldn't put the book down. I feel that this book speaks the truth about the urban community and people can relate or have seen things like explained in the book. This book gives you good visual details and is straight to the point! If you are looking for a good read this is definitely the one.

Review: This is the first donald goines book that i have read but it sure won't be the last i loved this book I started reading it last Saturday evening and i couldn't put it down until I read the whole book.This book will have you crying at certain points because of what the girl named Sandra and the guy named Chink has to do indure so i hope that you have some tissues near by and it also has its happy moments like the love that Sandra and Chink share with each other.I've already recommend this book to my family,friends,and co-workers and if you have some time on your hands and really want to read a good book i also recommed the book to you.
