Summary: My oh my...
Review: What a gawdawful book. It's quite clear it isn't about the writing anymore - any smart person can figure out it's clearly all about the money. Had this been in the hands of a talented ghostwriter who cared about the readers and the actual writing, it could have made for a fine story, but when in the hands of someone else, it turns into nothing but a mess. I bought this book because the plot sounded interesting. Big mistake. I could barely plow through a few pages before I put it down. The writing was so terrible, it made even my twelve year old cousin sound good. This is the type of writing that makes me feel sorry for the author's whose books flank these terrible ghostwritten ones. Just to grace the same shelves as this would be shameful indeed.

I'm not going to tell you the plot, because you can read it on the website. I'll just give you my honest opinion. It was the most dreadful book I'd ever read in my entire twenty years of existence. If you want a good book, pick up some of V.C. Andrews's old books. She took time on her writing, on creating characters who we cared about, and the plots. This schmuck just slops it all together like he doesn't care, making for errors galore. I doubt he even takes time to edit. And if there is an editor for these terrible books, the dude should be deprived of his job. Obviously, as I said before, it's all about the money.

Avoid.

Summary: DR FOREMAN... SIMILAR TO THE OLIVIAS - FOXWORTH & LOGAN
Review: You've read all the VCA books. You know all the foes and villians. Enter Dr. Foreman... a formidable foe that brings to mind the GREAT VCA Olivias - Olivia Foxworth from "GARDEN OF SHADOWS" (aren't I lucky to share this great last name with the "FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC" series family?) and OLIVIA LOGAN from "OLIVIA".

However, while the famous Olivias could be somewhat lovable due to their circumstances, Dr. Foreman is not. In fact she is a freak! Ferocious and unfeeling, Dr. Foreman illicits no sympathy from her readers! "Get her, get her!" I kept silently encouraging the girls! (Although Teal was certainly a whiny little brat, wasn't she? I wanted to smack her!)

Of course I did not review this book page by page, chapter by chapter... I never do. Instead I try to give you a feel of the atmosphere of the book. You can decide for yourself if you like it or not. But my gut says you will like it!

A word of encouragement to anyone who left a negative review... the ghostwriter has PERSONALLY TOLD ME that the upcoming "CELESTE" will be "nothing like we have ever seen before!" So please hang in there with VCA. After all, "WILLOW" and the Willow books were a FANTASTIC, REFRESHING return-to-form for the ghostwriter.

Read both "BROKEN WINGS" and "MIDNIGHT FLIGHT: now and enjoy. You'll thank me later on, I just know you will!!!
