Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Great medical thriller! Review: I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it! I don't always read medical thrillers, but this one had me turning the page up until the wee hours of the morning. I read this book in about 2 sittings! Gerritsen did a wonderful job with making you relate to the characters. Great read!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Am I the only one? Review: Am I the only one that saw a connection between the russian boy with the almost white blonde hair and Nina Voss with her almost white blond hair? At the end when the boy passes by her room and she sees him, she smiles just before she dies. The boy was abandoned by his mother when he was very young and Nina "never" had any children? And they had the same blood type AB positive?
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I'm Trying To Convince My Entire Family To Read This Book Review: This was a very good book if you love the medical world and can understand the language.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Oh Brother! Review: This book convinced me that anyone can be a successful novelist. The plot twists are so obvious you could read this book by skipping every other page and still figure the whole thing out. About as challenging a mystery as the OJ Simpson trial. The sad thing about this book is how hysterical the protagonist gets. I mean talk about reinforcing female stereotypes. She's just a poor helpless doctor that shows all this compassion, yet comes undone under all this pressure, boo-hoo! So the book is predictable, but it was kind of an interesting story, especially since it's not a bad rip-off from the book "Coma." Ok, people can make money from selling organs. Now do something interesting with it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent Medical Mystery Thriller Review: This is my second reading of Tess Gerritsen's first novel, Harvest. I enjoyed it even more the second time around. It all starts with a young woman having a car crash that leaves her brain dead. Her heart matches two people: one is a poor 17 year old boy, the other is the wife of one of the richest men in the country. Who it ends up going to starts this thrilling tale ...
Soon Dr. Abby DiMatteo, a resident at Bayside Hospital, is in the middle of a whirlwind controversy involving black market organs, false accusations of murder, career-altering decisions, and she begins questioning the very core of the person she is going to marry.
Great mystery, really interesting medical scenes, believable and sympathetic characters. All in all - a great read!
I'm in the midst of re-reading all of Gerritsen's novels ... she is a phenomenal writer (and she used to be a doctor, which gives all the medical scenes such accurate detail.) If you like Robin Cook books, you'd like Tess Gerritsen.
Next on the nightstand: Life Support.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: WOW! Review: I've had this book on my shelf for quite a while--don't know what I was waiting for! What a great storyteller Ms. Gerritsen is. This book kept me turning pages from page 1. It is very well written, even the medical terminology is done in such a way that it is easy to understand. And the story keeps you guessing right along. Having worked for doctors most of my adult life, I found the characters well drawn and believable. And the story of harvesting organs for money is probably not that far off the mark, unfortunately. I loved this book and will definitely read the rest of Ms. Gerritsen's books.
