Summary: Beutifully crafted, a good read, unable to put it down
Review: One word will come to your mind when you read this. Thrill. I say no more. A very asome prequal to a very ausome movie, novel Jurassic Park Far above Congo

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Interest Depends on the Reader
Review: For me, this book was a bit of a disappointment. The reason is because the characters are basically the same, with a strong woman, two kids, etc. Then there is a problem with Malcolm being resurrected, and this is addressed very briefly in the book. Also, the story isn't quite that engaging, but I believe this book has many strengths. I enjoyed this book because of these strengths, which some people may or may not enjoy along with me. The most interesting aspect of this book is probably the amount of commentary by Malcom about the interactions, which I find extremely interesting. However, some people might not agree with me, so the enjoyment factor of this book really depends on the reader

Summary: Very Good , Seq- of JP
Review: It was one of the best books I have read that was a second part of a two part story. I hope the movie is as good!

Summary: Disappointing!
Review: It felt like a cheap sequel movie to Jurassic Park. There is nothing new in it! Don't bother buying it

Summary: Crichton hits another thrilling high-point w/ The Lost World
Review: Character development is something Crichton is acclaimed for, and this zing ride of a novel is no exception. The jumps back and forth from the states and the island are arranged in perfect continuity with each other. Another thing is the skillful use of new dinosaurs in the story. Many times I felt a chill wriggle itself down my spine at the books most intense moments of suspense. The reach and depth far exceeds that of the original Jurassic Park. Dr. Ian Malcolm's return is a welcomed presence. Pick up this Crichton instant classic up before it takes a bite out of you!!

Summary: Retread of Jurassic Park without the wit or surprise.
Review: If "Jurassic Park" was "Jaws" redux, then "The Lost World" is "Jaws 2". I mean really, I was hoping maybe Crichton would BUILD on the previous book, not redo it. You make us wait over 100 pages to show us a dinosaur? Ohh scary. That sort of suspense only works once. And I loved the replacement genius-kids. Give me a break. On the plus side, Malcolm does get to spout some nifty stuff about chaos theory. Don't waste the afternoon on this book. Hope Spielberg gets the movie right!

Summary: Okay, but I thought I read this the first time around.
Review: Crichton could have taken his dinosaurs somewhere else after Jurassic Park -- like the mainland, or a city -- but instead we have another island ("Whoops! We forgot about that one!"), essentially the same characters (not especially well developed), and a fundamentally identical plot. I enjoyed the writing, and most of the incidents are exciting, but I finished the book dissatisfied. Jurassic Park was a neat idea, well executed. The Lost World is well enough executed, but it's the same idea.

Summary: This is a great book. Perfect Sequel to Jurrasic Park.
Review: This book kept me turning pages. It has an exceptional plot , Michael Crichton was great. The charactors were well described and the intensity of it was awesome - I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the movie to come out. This book is fast paced and full of twists & turns to keep you reading

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book was a keeper
Review: The book was really boring for the first few pages. All the scientific talk confused me.But once you get past the book is really great. I believe that the lost world left it's predecessor Jurrasic Park in the dirt

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Evolutionsim's Book
Review: This novel contains a lot of evolution theory, this a novel or a science book? This matter can degrade the quality of a book.
