Summary: Creighton has sucumbed to formuli and has abandoned research
Review: Creighton started out as a scientist/historian who was also able to tell a good story. Over time, he has taken the easy road to "action / adventure". Lost World is an unfortunate example of social awareness and equity with facile characters, but little attention to science, technology or plot

Summary: Suspense but too soft
Review: This book is a suspense book. However the story start in the middle and not to hard. I will call too soft because there are no rhitme in the story. I like the story, but not getting tied when I read the boo

Summary: Crichton delivers more of his best
Review: This was an exciting book from the first page to the last. The plot was great, and the new characters held up the story very well. Once again Michael Crichton gives us great suspense and a plot that is more realistic than ever with the recent cloning Dolly in Scotland. A

Summary: Okay plot, cool, most of all, entertaining.
Review: The book held my interest, but I just don't think Malcom would do that without more help. As if he's just gonna march right to the site. He knows the dangers. But he still goes. If you're looking for something just to keep you busy, this'll work

Summary: A bad plot, but an exiting book
Review: This book was not as good as Jurassic Park and it had some flaws. Ian Malcom is back from the dead and the T-Rex's vision which they repeatedly mentioned in JP was limited to movement is now enhanced to see non-moving things. It was however a very exiting book and kept me up late reading it

Summary: Good Book - Fast paced, Easy Reading, and a good Thriller
Review: To kill time on the Plane, I bought 2 books. One was listed as the #1 Best seller and the other "THE LOST WORLD" in the 4-5 Position last week i.e. May 5,1997. #1 Seller put me to sleep in 10 minutes. I started on Lost World once I got up - WAS UP TILL 1AM - Chose the Book instead of SLEEP. So, It is a good book, which will hold your attention till the end and will not let you go.

Summary: The lost world, makes you thrill after each page
Review: When I read Jurrasic Park, it was an introduction to the Dinosours world, but in the Lost world, you knew the characters, and also I'm costarrican so you fill it as if it was really written here, I think this is the best recent book I have read. I just make a field trip to the forest here, and at night I was almost waiting for the dinosaurs to apper, because the book was so descriptive that you almost feel it for real. I'm waiting ansiously for the movie. Sabrina Vargas, Costa Rica

Summary: It is like pizza. It is good. Except for the crust.
Review: Really read this book. It will show your how to change the world and not to die if kyouare eaten by a dinosaur or another mamilian dangerous type creature if you are not already dead. Dead in the belly from the death of the great reptile, Rambling off making no sense. Hi

Summary: A good book, but it should have and could have been better.
Review: The Lost World is a sequel to Jurassic Park. What happens to the characters, especially Malcolm, is almost the same as the first book. If you liked Jurassic Park then you will like The Lost World. However, you may be a little disappointed because it could have been better if Crichton had tried a little harder to create a story and not to make money

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A disappointment in Crichton's Jewel of a Career
Review: Chrichton clearly had his mind on the money he'd make rather than the reader's enjoyment whem he scrawled this one out. It reads more like a script to a movie (which it will inevetalbly be) than a sience fiction novel. I feel Chrichton new that if he wrote a Dr. Seuss style book and labeled it "Sequel to Jurassic Park" he'd have no problem selling millions of copies. That fact is shown very clearly through "The Lost World."
