Summary: A disappointment
Review: If you want a good book, try Jurassic Park. It seems Crichton just made the book so directors could make another movie out of it. Compared to Jrassic Park, this book was BAD. If you are a Christian like me, don't read this book!! The thing that angered me was the whole plot was just talking about evolution. On the very first page, Malcolm is explaining evolution. Evolution is just Satan's way of making people turn away from God and His Word. Jurassic Park made little mention of evolution and stuck with the plot through the whole book. In this book, whle Malcolm and his bud are being attaked by Raptors and Tyrannosaurus Rex's, they decide to explain about exolution. Come on! They are about to be ripped in half and decide that it's a good time to talk about evolution! I was very disappointed after reading this book. If you want REALLY good books, try Frank Peretti.

Summary: Not comparable to Jurassic Park
Review: Given, Jurassic Park was an outstanding book, so because The Lost World didn't compare to that is not why I'm rating this book low. The lack of creativity is clearly obvious, this book lacked a good plot entirely. Plus, for fifty or so pages, I was lost, had I remembered to refer to the map, I may not have been lost so much. All though this may have dimmed down my interest, it still was only exciting for the first 100 pages.

Summary: No imagination needed; Crichton paints the whole picture!!!
Review: This book is so interesting, if you can undersatnd what it is talking about, you will be gripped from the very first page. It isn't only very suspenseful, it is very informative. i have never heard such theroies about evolution. Often, when we think of the extinction of the dinosaurs, we think "a metor dropped from the sky, and ended it all". But this book tells otherwise. You won`t be able to put it down!

Summary: Movie good but WEAK when compared to book
Review: The movie "the Lost World", is one of film history's greatest achievements. This book and it's detail put the movie to shame!!! The book has 10X more suspense, action, and thrills than the movie could ever offer. A definite must read.

Summary: This book was great.
Review: This was a great book. Right off the bat it grabbed my attention. The first chapter when Crichton has the dead dinosaur carcasses wash up on the beach and when he has the government officals burn the carcasess you know this is going to be a great book.

Summary: The BEST Book I Have Ever Read!
Review: "The Lost World" (book) is SO much better than the movie. It explains everything and describes everything in detail. I read this book when I was ten and I couldn't put it down! By now, I've at least read it fourty times. It also is educational for the not intellectually gifted.

Summary: LOVED IT!!!!
Review: I loved it! I bought a copy two years ago when i was twelve and I have read it so many times that it is completely dogeared! The cover had a hologram on it and now i can't even make it out!

Summary: Simply the Best
Review: I think this book was one of Michael Crichton's Best. I have always loved his books and this was one of his best. This book had everything M.C. Fans would expect and more. I was a little sceptical when I heard that Malcom survived but this is has now replaced Jurassic Park as my favorite.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I loved it!!!! What happened to the movie:-(
Review: The Lost World was a wonderful book-one of the best books I've ever read by far. What is the matter with those fools who think the movie is better than the book, though? Moreover, what was Michael Crichton thinking? His book was a masterpiece. It terrified me-and I'm NEVER shaken up by books. I understand that there are many morons in the world who can't comprehend Malcolm's theories. Well, that's their misfortune, for missing out on one of the greatest adventures ever written.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Awesome book! The book was so much better than the movie.
Review: The Lost World is not quite as good as Jurassic Park, but still a quite gripping novel. I love the raptor scenes, as well as the ending. Great Book.
