Rating: Summary: A very exciting suspenseful book. Review: I really liked this book becasue the plot really holds you in. Too bad this book is a lot shorter than the other books that he has written. This book will really make you think about the future.
Rating: Summary: An ending you will never forgive Review: An interesting exploration of technology that might have been cutting edge at the time but is now severely dated, whereas Frankenstein, which it is compared to, is an incredible work (one of the few English class books I *enjoyed*). The ending literally made me hurl the book at the wall. I was furious. Some good suspense, but imo Crichton's worst.
Rating: Summary: Nonstop Suspense! Review: I picked this book up right after Aiframe. I think that, although Terminal Man is significantly shorter than the former, it still holds together well while delivering everything for which Crichton has become known. I really enjoyed this book, and wish it doesn't end where it does.
Rating: Summary: The book was fun and interesting. Review: The book was not his best, however it was pretty darn good. MC just has a way of writing that apeals to everyone. Well written and very well researched. A MUST READ!!!
Rating: Summary: toss it Review: Oh the disappointment! Another ho-hum book about how computers and technology are taking over the world. For an average author this book might be excusable, but not for Crichton. If you've never read Crichton, DO NOT read this one first. There are some delicious books of his that are my favorites, but this one was a stinker.
Rating: Summary: Genre packed book at its best! Review: Having never read Chrichton books before, the movies had only satisfied my tastes. Yet, amazingly, I come to read his 2nd? novel as my first of his. I recommend this book for all who crave thrills and some suspense! From medical topics to bitter mystery, Mr. Chrichton sums up a hospital treatment rather well, but with couch-potatoe-ways of making you want to read.
Rating: Summary: Michael Baby, Stay awake when you write... Review: I don't know if there was an enforced deadline or a contract stating X amount of books in X amount of time because P-Yeew, this book did nothing for me. Where's my copy of CONGO, THE LOST WORLD or AIRFRAME...Now those, those were some really good apples!!! Sorry MC but never fear, I haven't lost hope. Keep putting pen to paper...
Rating: Summary: Overview, Description Review: I think this was a good book, if you are in to big Science Fiction stories. It is about a doctor that is supposed to give a brain operation to a patient that runs away. Most od the book is the Scientist looking for the man, and asking the patients friends to describe him and his intrists. The book really packs a lot of suspence, but, like any other book, had its boring parts. Mr. Crichtons description of the character, and the actions taken, are thoes you can relate to, and are logical. I rated it a "9," because I really enjoyed it, but there was something missing.
Rating: Summary: magnificent Review: Michael Chrichton is one of my favourite authors. I especially liked this book. It's packed with action, and is very exciting and interesting, although it is very violent. Iwould highly recommend reading it.
Rating: Summary: Very good. Review: Michael Crichton is one of the world's best thriller authors but this was only his second book so don't expect a mind-blowing thriller: very good but not his usual. Not as good as the THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN or CONGO. Buy it to see what you think but do not use it to judge Micheal Crichton. If you want to judge him read SPHERE, JURASSIC PARK or CONGO. Oh, and it's not for the lame or children. It has graphic gore and is violent; it might be scary for some, the author gives very detailed descriptions of the killers' victims (after all he is a doctor) and uses a lot of swearing. But this doesn't mean it is not good -- I highly recommend it. -Isaac Bauman
