Rating: Summary: captures the pride of the Corps..... Review: As a former Marine, W.E.B captures the very heart of the Corps. Marines always feel every Marine that has gone before us is watching and we can't let them down. In Dangers Path, and in the previous seven books helps you feel the pride, integrity, honor, duty the emotions and the difficulty of being a Marine. Sempri Fi and a big "oohrah" for this book....
Rating: Summary: Superb! Review: Great reading. My husband insisted I read his books and I find them wonderful and exciting. I'd like to know more about him. Is there some biographical information somewhere?
Rating: Summary: Tantanlizing tribute to the men who served in the USMC! Review: 'In Danger's Path', like all of Mr. Griffin's works regarding his series, 'The Corps' is a rousing tribute to the heroic actions taken on by the United States Marine Corps during World War Two. Packed with non-stop action, an unheard of devotion to duty, and a strong sense of camaraderie, it is no wonder the United States Marine Corps stands as the most revered fighting force ever assembled. It is highly recommended by the author of this review that you RUN to the nearest bookstore and buy not only Griffin's last offering in his outstanding series, 'The Corps' but purchase the preceeding installments as well!
Rating: Summary: A master story-teller, no one in this genre is better! Review: Whether you are looking for human interest, a glimpse of WWII, or just a good read this book has got it. The whole series is fantastic and I can hardly wait for more. Hoo-ah!
Rating: Summary: Extraordinary novel Review: Of all of the war novels I've read in the past few years, only THE TRIUMPH AND THE GLORY can compete with W.E.B. Griffin's best. It is simply stunning, and so is IN DANGER'S PATH, a fitting successor to Griffin's earlier masterworks.
Rating: Summary: SPELLBINDING! I was kept on the edge of my seat. Review: As usual, Mr. Griffin has captured the essence of keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. All his books have been exciting! I have maintained a complete library of his books in my home and I refuse to part with them. Even now, I await in anticipation of his next book. KUDOS Mr Grifin for your outstanding work. Semper Fi!
Rating: Summary: Some of the Greatest Fictional Writing about WWII Review: W.E.B Griffen is one of the greatest writers ever. I bought one of his books to read on a plane and a few months later I have almost read the entire series! His telling of the saga of the soldier-civilian- soldier, Fleming Pickering and the rest of the amazing cast of characters is masterful. And of this series this book is ine of the best so far. I advise buying this book to anyone reading this review.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: In Danger's Path is the latest in a great series by W.E.B. Griffin. There aren't enough novels of this calibre around, only Rustad's The Triumph and the Glory comes to mind as being in the same ballpark when it comes to war novels worth reading. Semper Fi.
Rating: Summary: Need more military novels from Griffin. Review: Griffin has given a more interesting explaintion of military culture than most any author to date. Mr. Griffin, please don't waste any more time on police stories and keep up your military works. What about another "Brotherhood of War" or "Men at War" publication? They are both great both series as is "The Corps".
Rating: Summary: OUT FLUFFING STANDING! Review: Griffin has done it again. As usual with apparent ease. In Danger's Path tells the story of people at war in a way and with such authenticity that you become part of the story as you read it. You get to know these people and care for them. No other writer I read writes of people at war like Griffin does, although Harold Coyle comes close. For those of you who have not read him before, you are in for a delicious treat, and even better, you will discover a treasure trove of books he has already written. For those of you who have read him before, The Corps characters are all here: Pickering, McCoy, Banning, Zimmerman, the Easterbunny, Hart, Moore, Pluto Hon, and all the rest of the cast. Characters you haven't heard from since the first Corps book are back, notably Banning's wife Milla. This is a really good story, told as only Griffin can tell one. ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE!
